windchill advisories and warnings where those values will be around -20 degrees with not much warmer marks for the rest of the area, so bundle up before you leave the house! highs today should be back in the double digits (above 0!) if not fairly close in most places, and that's about as cold as we'll be the next seven days. as temperatures rebound, snow returns tonight and tomorrow where a quick moving snow system will drop anywhere from 1-3 inches of the white stuff on most of the viewing area by tomorrow evening. we also stand the small possibility of seeing repeat performances wednesday night/thursday and perhaps again on sunday, but we'll have to wait and see how those play out. meanwhile temperatures look to remain above zero during this time, and rise close to 30 this weekend! see graphics. >> investigators are trying to determine what started a fire that destroyed a home in norfolk, nebraska overnight. the blaze was reported just before eleven p-m at 26-30 west benjamin avenue. firefighters found flames coming from the rear of

the scene. the fire was brought under control in about an n ur, but fire officiaias stayed on scene for several l urs in the sub-zero cold checking for hidden hot spots. firefighters were called back to the scene this morning at one point. nobody was injured but the house is a total loss. investigators are still trng to determine what started the fire that heavily damaged a home on sioux city's north side saturday night. it broke out at 33-41 morgan street around 5-30 p-m. flames were shooting from the roof when firefighters arrived. nobody was home at the time and there were no injuries. three dogs were rescued from the basement of the home. despite the extreme cold, firefighters got the fire extinguished quickly. the fire c!used severe smoke and ater damage and the home was red- tagged by city officials. a police officer in danville, ohio has been found dead after authorities say a woman phoned police last night to say that her ex-boyfriend was looking to kill an officer.

custody early this morning after the officer was found dead behind the town's municipal building. dispatchers had tried to make contact with the officer after hearing of the threat, but they were unsuccessful. and that prompted the knox county sheriff's office to search the village. people across america are celebrating the life and the legacy of doctor martin luther king junior today. on this federal holiday in his honor, attorney general loretta lynch spoke at the national action network's annual martin luther king breakfast this morning. lynch said it's important to celebrate the victories of the civil rights movement, but she said it's even more important to stay engaged and continue to fight for progress. loretta lynch - attorney general "of course the voting rights act and the civil rights act of 1964 and 1965 - statutes that i am proud to uphold today - and these were extraordinary achievements, and it's right that we celebrate em today, but even more than lebrating - even momo than remembering his words - even more than enshrining his accomplishshnts, it is fitting

i'm kim hutcherson reporting. >> the iowa caucus is two weeks from today and the presidential candidates continue coming to state in full force. new jersey governor chris christie campaigned in sioux city on sunday, speaking to a crowd at buffalo alice. his poll numbers are low, but christie is hoping to gain momentum in the final two weeks before the iowa caucus. the republican says he understands how important it is to put in the effort to talk one-on-one with voters. "you listen and you ask really good questions and your minds are open and then you're going to decide. every pollster and pundent who thinks they have you figured out, just isn't right--you've suprised a lot of people before," said gov. chris christie, (r) presidential candidate. while in sioux city, christie discussed mental health issues, the syrian refugee crisis, and the fight against terror. republican senator marco rubio

"voters here take very seriously their caucus vote, i know a lot of them make their decision at the last minute. even if i were in first place you'd be concerned because people change their minds," said sen. marco rubio, (r) presidential candidate. south dakota congresswom an kristi noem appeared with rubio, saying he understands the needs of midwesterners. the omaha tribe of nebraska staged a "spritual ride" by horseback over the weekend, ahead of a supreme court hearing this week over tribal boundaries. the ride went 21 miles from macy pender, where, since 2007, the tribe has tried to impose a 10- percent alcohol tax on business owners in pender and required them to buy a tribal liquor license. the retailers sued, saying their land is no longer part of the omaha reservation. but last year, a federal judge ruled in favor of the tribe and a federal appeals court upheld the ruling. the nebraska attorney general's office is appealing the matter to the u-s supreme court, which

spacex's latest attempt to land a rocket upright on a platform in the pacific ocean failed in spectacular fashion sunday. the unmanned rocket was launched satellite into orbit, but then failed to stick the landing on a floating platform out at sea. it came down softly on the platform, but then toppled and exploded on impact. the company says that one of the legs failed to latch on the platform. musk says ice buildup due to condensation from heavy fog at lift-off may be to blame. it was musk's fourth attempt to land a space-x rocket at sea. two weeks ago, spacex did successfully land a rocket upright at cape canaveral. siouxland woke to subzero cold this morning... and there's a little snow in the forecast. meterologist ben after this. here's the scene in spencer where the sky is cloudy and the

electric power generation from missouri river dams fell below average last year. the u.s. army corps of engineers says energy production from the six dams in the dakotas and montana totaled 8.5 billion kilowatts of electricity last year. that's down more than 1 billion kilowatts from the year before. a corps spokesman says more water was kept in upstream reservoirs last year to balance the river system. he says missouri river reservoirs are at ideal levels now. crude oil prices have fallen below 29-dollars a barrel. it's the first time that has happened since 2003. investors are bracing for iran's return to global oil markets. with sanctions now lifted, the opec member-

so much for being here. thank you. pastor jeff, let's start with you. what is the goal of the week of prayer for christian unity? the week of prayer for christian unity is all about christians experiencing the oneness that we have. jesus prays for that in john 17 that we would know our oneness and the belief through it. we experience that and participate in it on that week then model ourselves for it the rest of the year. what are some of the things you have planned for the week? the events this week are multiple events, prayer events and worship events. the prayer events would be starting on january 19th at st. john lutheran from 10 to 12. then at new life lutheran in sergeant bluff from 11 to 1 over the noon hour. then thursday january 21st at
