(standup) s/ kier simmons / nbc news / ndstuhl, germmny the iraniaa say they don't know where he is and that they are prprared to help in the search for him. that family, though, is saying that bob levinson has been abandoned. back to you. >> the u-s coast guard is suspending its search for 12 marines lost when two military helicopters went down off the coast of hawaii late friday. the coast guard and u-s marine corp made the announcement yesterday that "search and rescue" was ending at sunset and transitioning to a recovery and sasaage" operation. officials say they have found wreckage on the ocean floor but no sign of any marines. searchers also discovered all four life rafts, but there was no sign that anyone had ever been on board. officials expressed regret that the search is ending after five days without finding survivors. "and to the families that are most affected by this, our prayers and our support are to them. and that's our number one goal and

brig. general russel sanborn. brigadeer general sanborn also thanked the search team for all of their hard work throughout the process. two women were killed and nine others injured yesterday when a bus crashed and flipped on its side in san jose, california. the bus was on its way from los angeles to oakland when the accident occurred. it's believed the vehicle crashed into safety barrels along the median of the highway before flipping on its side. officials with the california highway patrol say the bus driver admitted he was fatigued at the time of the crash... but it is unknown if he fell asleep. officials say nine people were transported to the hospital including the driver and at least one child. pakistani officials say the death toll in a brazen attack on a university that is underway in the country's northwest has risen to 19, with at least 50 others wounded. deputy commissioner tahir zafar says the attack began shortly after the university opened in charsadda town.

gunfire with the attackers on the campus where several explosions were heard from the area of the bacha khan university. the pakistani army says the attackeru have been contained and that four of them have been killed. the pakistani taliban is claiming responsiblity for the attack. yesterday's court appearance for 19-year- old trevor feauto, of clarksville, iowa, lasted only about five minutes. two months ago, feauto pleaded guilty to two counts of felony vehicular homicide. prosecutors say feauto was driving drunk when his pickup truck crashed into a car near breda, iowa. 16-year-olds bailey jacobsen and lindsey quirk, both from wall lake, iowa, were killed in the crash. sac county attorney ben smith says the state has withdrawn the plea offer feauto had agreed to back in november. feauto is now facing four counts including homicide by vehicle, intoxication, and homicide by vehicular recklessness. the new trial has yet to be scheduled, but smith says most likely it will take place this spring. last night, the governor of michigan outlined his plans to

water. he's called for more state help for the city, the deployment of more national guard members and he's vowed to check every household in flint to see if it has a water filter. the governor also promised to release his e-mails about the emergency. jay gray has the latest on the growing controversy..

supervisors signed a letter of support at last weeks meeting. county supervivsor mark monson says it's important to support these community improvement projects. "it'll be a reasonable draw. swimming pools are expensive to opperate and not all towns can have them; so i think it'll be very good," said mark monson, woodbury county supervisor. the correctionvil le mayor says the upgraded pool will only draw more attention to the town. the u-s coast guard is suspending its search for 12 marines lost when two military helicopters went down off the coast of hawaii late friday. the coast guard and u-u-marine corp made the announcementt yesterday that "search and rescue" was ending at sunset and transitioning to a recovery and salvage" operation. officials say they have found wreckage on the ocean floor but no sign of any marines. searchers also discovered all four life rafts, but there was no sign that anyone had ever been on board. officials expressed regret that the search is ending after five days without finding survivors. "and to the families that are most affected by this, our prayers and our support are to them. and that's our number one goal and focus," said brig. general russel sanborn.

thanked the search team for all of their hard work throughout the process. two women were killed and nine others injured yesterday when a bus crashed and flipped on its side in san jose, california. the bus was on its way from los angeles to oakland when the accident occurred. it's believed the vehicle crashed into safety barrels along the median of the highway before flipping on its side. officials th the california highway patrol say the bus driver admitted he was fatigued at the time of the crash... but it is unknown if he fell asleep. officials say nine people were transported to the hospital including the driver and at least one child. pakistani officials say the death toll in a brazen attack on a university that is underway in the country's northwest has risen to 19, with at least 50 others wounded. deputy commissioner tahir zafar says the attack began shortly after the university opened in charsadda town. police and army are exchanging gunfire with the attackers on

just find a lot of people, they think salad, they think chicken, so we are going to make it with a flank steak today, and i have adaded barley to it, which if you hahae never made barley, i use a quick cooking one, it takes like 10 minutes. it's a really good way to kind of bulk up your salad. if you want to stretch your dollar a little bit, i also added mushrooms, that's a nice way to also stretch your dollar a little bit more." s- "oh yeah it does have some protein in there." w- "yeah, you get a little protein and a good dose of fiber, too. so i think that's just a nice way to make your salad just a little bit more satisfying. so, for the steak part of it, um, i know we probably don't want to go outside to our grill right now, so i'm broiling a flank steak, and flank steaks work perfect to broil. you can't throw just any steak under the broiler. some just don't work very well. but this is what a flank steak looks like. in total, this is only going to take 10 to 11 minutes broiled on high. so i usually season it, put it in there for about 6 minutes on the first side, flip it over, 5 more minutes and you're done.what you want to make sure you're doing is letting it rest for a couple of minutes before you slice it and put it on your salad. and you'll notice that this piece of meat, it has a very strong grain running vertically through it, so when you go to slice it, make sure you're cutting across the ain this wwy, and that's actually what you want o do

tribute to a long-time sioux city delivery man. dozens of ups trucks lined up for a processional on old highway 75 before the funeral for pat conway. conway worked for ups for 25 years, sorting, loading, and delivering packages. the 57-year-old died last week after a four year battle with cancer.
