morning..talking about a potential run against donal trump in the general election "i would very much look forward to a race against donald trump, a guy who does not want to raise the minimum wage, but wants to give hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks to the top two-tenths of 1 percent who thinks wages in america are too high and who thinks that climate change is a hoax, invented by the chinese. chuck, there would be nothing more in this world that i would like to take on donald trump. we would beat him, and we would beat him badly. with the iowa caucuses just eight days away... the des moines register newspaper has announced its endorsements for the republican and democratic nominations for president. the paper picked hillary clinton because they say no other candidate can match the depth or breadth of her knowledge and experience. on the republican side... the paper endorsed senator marco rubio because they say he has the potential to chart a different direction for the g-o-p. they say he represents the party's best hope. a snowmobile accident in monona co. has left one man dead. authorities say 48 year- old david daigle was traveling by snowmobile in a field east of the 1300 block of k-42. the baton rouge native attempted to cut across a field. he was unaware of an irrigation unit and collided with it. daigle was transported to mercy hospital in

pronounced dead due to injuries suffered. we've got a number of winter weather advisories in effect as snow is on the way for more we'll toss it over to meterologist t.j. springer winter weather advisories in effect for parts of siouxland from tonight through monday night our gloomy stretch of weather is continuing across siouxland as we close out our weekend! the clouds are thick and they will not be budging as we move through the rest of the evening into the overnight hours, out ahead of our next weather maker. temperatures are on the mild side once again due to se flow. it's also causing some visibility problems due to patchy dense fog. warm air riding over the cold, snow packed surface is the culprit, but the fog will diminish as we head into tonight. precipitation will be on the increase though with some patchy freezing drizzle/light wintry mix possible towards midnight. precipitation will begin to mix with and change to snow in the early morning hours of monday with the snow increasing in intensity through the day. accumulations across siouxland will range anywhere from 1-2" with heavier amount to the north. the snow looks like it will effect both commutes so take it slow and allow for extra time. the system will quickly exit monday night with sunshine returning for tuesday. the sunshine will be with us through the end of the work week along

temperatures will climb towards that 40 degree mark towards thursday and will possibly rise above that for friday! at least 25 people are dead after this weekend's massive east coast blizzard...including a new jersey mother and child who died of carbon monoxide poisoning while sitting in their car with a blocked tailpipe. millions are now digging out....highway crews are plowing....but some air travelers are still stuck with thousands of flights cancelled. nbc's jennifer johnson has our story.

and when it has to do with sioux city.. it's even better. today sioux city fire rescue held a book signing for the book titled --fully involved. its full of pictures and stories about the 150-year history of the sioux city fire department. one co-author says the book was years in the making.
