"it's been a pretty nice monday here in sioux city. the past couple days have been really nice. you can start to see the green grass again from the last blanket of snow we received. however, that won't last for long as we are expected in the siouxland area to get almost a foot of snow on tuesday," said michelle schoening, siouxland's news channel. city plow crews began work at 7 o'clock tonight prepping the roadways and last minute changes to the equipment. more than 15 trucks will be on roros trying to make them as clear r possible. sioux city's field service nager says the windy conditions make it difficult to keep the roads clear. we also caught t with people buying last minute salt, s svels and snowblowers. one shopper says he made it two years without a shovel, but the possibility of a blizzard changed his mind.
