race is far from over . "it's a crazy time right now. but this is.. i still believe, contrary the rush to judgment, there's a long way to go and frankly if all this yelling and screaming keeps up we're not going to win the election against hillary (clinton). it's not going to happen. i can tell you you're not coming to ohio yelling and screaming and at the end win the general election. it's not going to happen." kasich says if he doesn't win ohio.. he will drop out of the race. some iowa lawmakers are trying to make gun suppressors legal. the house passed a bill in hopes of legalizing suppressors. they're also commonly know as silencers -- and help reduce the noise level. many who enjoy hunting or shooting as a sport...say some type of protection is definitely needed. to the polls on march 1st to decide if their local fire department will be expanding. built in 1973, the current station houses the trucks and gear. the orange city fire chief says the expansion is all about the safety of the firefighters. voting polls will be open from 7 a-m to 8 p-m at the living waters church. on thursday, the diocese of sioux city annouced a detailed plan to consolidate, and close, dozens of its parishes in the summer of 20-17. the diocese remains hopeful it will be a smooth transition. as they strive to provide priests to those parishes for as long as they can. yet church-goers across northwest iowa still may have to come to grips with the closure. ktiv's michelle schoening has more. on a sunday in rural plymouth county, st. joseph-ellendale is anything but quiet. (nat pop) ellendale is one for the 40 parishes on the proposed sioux city diocese's 2025 plan
10:04 pm
"i understand that may be the best plan for the diocese, but it is not the best plan for our church," said alise allan, parishioner. father david hemann is the priest at ellendale. and says, unlike many rural churches in northwest iowa, it is growing. "there's a hundred-plus people who come to mass. it's pretty lively. it's going very well right now, " said fr. david hemann. but the problem resides with a projection of not enough priests to cover all parishes. and while parishioners at ellendale understand it's only a draft plan, it doesn't sit well. "due to the closings that we went through locally in the past couple years, it doesn't lead a lot of comfort to that. but i do know that we have a voice and an opportunity to speak that," said alise allan, parishioner. so for now the members at ellendale will continue to fill the pews, and pray for their parish. in merrillliowa, michelle schoening, ktiv news 4. father david said he sees ellendale becoming an eventual oratory.

guidelines say jodi's annual checkup no longer requires a yearly pap smear. 8:57 it's a good screening tool, it's not the end all be all. but, it's a good tool to have in our box so people don't get cancer," said dr. danielle hay, siouxland women's health care. 9:04 obgyn, dr. danielle hay agrees with the new recommendation for cervical screening every three years. 1:11 "that's kind of a big deal. because up to that point women would say "i need to get my yearly pap." and, women should wait until the age of 21, even if they are sexually active. 2:21 young women their cervix change and they shed those atypical cells. and, we were finding we did a lot more unnecessary procedures in young women." there are some exceptions. women with a history of atypical cells, abnormal discharge or pain during intercourse, should still get a pap test each year. dr. hay also says the bottom line; follow your own medical providers advice.
