future hold for christian once a new government is in place. >> and storing up presents in heaven. why this man walked away from a successful career to take the gospel to the nation. >> all eyes are on the united nations as the palastinians petition the world body to grant them recognition. hello everyone i am wendy griffith. >> and i am george thomas. president mahmoud abbas made his appeal to the united nations for membership. the move is aimed at giving the palastinians greater status in the international body and creating an alternative path to statehood. abbas made the request to return to the negotiating table with israel. they have gotten no where after 20 years of negotiations.

israeli has been to the table. united states has threatened to veto the resolution if it comes to the vote in a u.n. security council. earlier chris mitchell in new york about what happens next. >> reporter: chris, what is the likelihood that this bid will succeed? >> it is very unlikely. they want to live side by side with israel, that has been the man tra. it is an overcast sky. that is a metaphor for what is rapping, abbas will appeal. it might be delayed before the security council actually has a vote. >> would that lead to further negotiations on the part of the

palastinians? >> there is delay that negotiations could go on. what happens during the negotiations remains to be seen. very little progress in the past two years. israelis want to negotiate. palastinians haven't come to the table for the past couple of years. what i have heard behind the scenes, lee, it is possible that the kor tet, united states,eu, russians and united states, if there is no known settlement, six months or a year, they will try to impose a solution. >> evangelical christians as you have reported for many years, chris, both in israel and around the world support israel. what are you hearing about their efforts with regards to this? >> one thing when we saw the

other day demonstration of several hundred christians talking about the durbin three conference, they see a way of spreading antisemitism around the world. that is a political action activism on behalf of israel. people are praying for the peace of jerusalem and this critical time in history. this is historic in the middle east and literally around the world. a lot of people see this when the nations of the world are making decisions of what is happening to the land that god promised to the jewish people. it is known as the west bank, really it is the judea and samaria land that goes back 4,000 years ago when abraham

promised to it his desen dents. >> what are the biblical implication and where does benjamin netanyahu fall in all of this. i would think he has a lot of pressure. >> i would think so. he is getting pressure from all sides. president obama put pressure on him to stop this legislation in congress that would defund the palastinians. that is one thing from the united states from the quote unquote international community, the quartet. he is getting pressure within his own political party. if he goes too far, he threatens his own coalition. the left siding with the palastinian, what they perceive is peace. he is trying to hold the line.

satellite television. a lot of the activities are happening from outside the country because it is difficult for christians to gather together within the confines of libya. >> many of the secret libyan christians feel abandoned by the world. maybe only several hundred, they desire recognition and prayer support. middleton says they are likely to have a lot of prayer in the days ahead. >> let's pray for safety and god's protectioprotection. they are asking questions of a spiritual nature and eternity. this could be a good time to pray for our brothers and sisters to have opportunities to take advantage of those opportunities.

>> american entrepreneur dois rosser once made his fortune in the car business. all that changed as he approached retirement. >> he traded that earthly fortune to see the gospel go into every nation. charlene israel reports how this businessman-turned-missionary spent golden years building thousands of churches in 58 countries. >> reporter: dois rosser born in 1921 in the foothills of the mountains. >> i knew at an early age, lived my life not always as i should but how god thought i should. >> rosser married his wife at 22, started a real estate company, he also went into a car business and purchased several dealerships.

in his 60s, rosser gained a fresh perspective on life. >> this dealership is where rosser's business took off. he left it all blind to take the gospel to the nations. >> rosser founded international cooperating ministries, icm. it was birthed out of rosser's friendship with bible teacher dick woodward. >> it was his teaching. >> rosser thought if he could take messages from an anointed bible teacher into all the nations, millions of lives could be impacted for christ. those messages from woodward's bible college are carried through this device, called a godpod. it is translated into the person's native language.

>> minibible college in tell gu. >> icm partners with churches all over the world. rosser says it is key to partner so the locals get involved and have more of an investment with their own churches. >> we have a major project going on in india that we are being matched dollar for dollar. we are putting up one half of the money. we have been told over and over you can't do that. they don't have anything. we are saying we have proof because we are doing it in the 58 countries around the world. >> results amazing. it increases the witness for christ in the community. it adds a supernatural resourcing to that witness. >> as the ministry started taking off, rosser asked their

three children what they thought if they gave the family fortune away to help spread the gospel. their reaction astounded many including their parents. >> we spent over breakfast one morning at the homestead talking about it for hours. i think we all left in tears. each one of them had a rational for a feeling, my daughter said it was never ours to start with. >> this is a baptist church in cuba. >> icm has started nearly 4,000 churches in 58 nations. this originated from a staff of 25 people at their icm headquarters in hampton, virginia. into places like china, india, cam bode ya, peru and tanzania. >> they are so much thankful for the icm and all the donors. >> one of icm's current initiatives is to see 100 more churches built or under construction in vietnam by the end of 2011. that marks the 100th anniversary of evangelical in the country. icm is in their 25th year. rosser is in his 90s and still going strong. >> as long as i can make a contribution, i want to be here. it is exciting. i think really prolongs your life. i get up wondering, god what are you going to do today that i hadn't thought about. >> rosser says it is never too
