temperatures very warm yesterday, mccarran hit 70 around 7:00 last evening and those same winds kept the temperatures very warm overnight. that will bring las vegas into an odd situation where the warmest temperatures came in around midnight to 1am and the low will likely be 11pm to midnight tonight. that's because some very cold air will continue to filter into the valley as the cold moisture and better dynamics to force some rain showers to form over las vegas. most of the showers will stay in the mountains but a few will push into the valley and give a hundredth or two of rain. 2-4 inches of snow is possible in the mountains up above 5,000 feet so mt. charleston and the ski park will see some more accumulating snow.
