wednesday. the system makes its exit wednesday, but the cold air will still be in place and it will be another afternoon of highs in the mid to upper 40s around the valley. low temperatures on wednesday and thursday morning are expected to drop to at or below freezing. high pressure will begin to take over the forecast on thursday and that's when our for friday and the weekend. another system makes an entrance on sunday, which will kick the winds up to breezy and bring a slight cool-down to the upper 50s for the start to next overnight.. but don't believe they're connected. one happened on i-15 near lamb where a woman was shot and killed. the off-ramp was shut down while police conducted their investigation. no information yet on a possible motive. police are still looking for the gunman. not far away.. a woman was also killed during a domestic incident near craig and m-l-k. a man is in custody in that case.

they found a 20 year old woman with a gun shot wound. she later died at the hospital. police say there were a lot of witnesses at the scene.. so they're hoping to learn more about exactly what happened. a reported terror attack in paris turned out.... to be a hoax! early this morning... we reported that a kindergarten teacher in paris claimed she was stabbed in the throat.... by a masked man affiliated with isis.. but just hours after the initial report... french officials said... the whole thing was a lie! they have not released any details about why the teacher.... might have made up the attack.. french authorities are still investigating this afternoon. the hoax comes on the same day.... that president obama addressed the pentagon about "isis".. and... officials from the president's own camp.... are criticizing his policy.... toward the terror group. there are also new questions about why there were no alarms sounded ove bernardino terrorists' social media posts. abc's elizabeth hur reports. for anyone wondering what if anything is being done to defeat isis.. president obama had this answer.
