9:04 am
(horns). >> this is the from the new orleans swamp donkeys, a cover available on i tunes, it'll be a massive weekend for star wars fans. >> people have been talking of this movie for months. >> it's everywhere, everywhere you look. >> in menus, our weather room is doing a thing, you can bite into fun star wars food. the franchise has made 7 zillion dollars. >> on the team somehow. >> i was invited to a huge party this sunday night. it's a lot of fun. first up, hubbell continues to pick up amazing images from
9:05 am
>> one image looks like a light saber. >> it picked up a light saber. we have jennifer wiseman. >> good morning. >> what are we seeing in the image? >> with the hubbell telescope, that's operating very well after over 25 years in space, we've seen the new star that's born, buried in the dust, you see in the center of the image, but it's also expelling the powerful jets that you see going up to the upper right and lower left. it looks like a lightsaber. some of the infalling material, gets heated up, and ejected and very powerful out flow.
9:06 am
almost like a -- it's evil in there with it. >> indeed. but it's an important stage of star formation. turns out the out flowing jets, help the star lose the angular momentum that enables it to collapse further and complete the formation of the baby star, and presumably a planetary system around it. >> and thousands of other amazing images that hubbell picked up over the years. >> indeed, and the telescope has shown us all kinds of wonders in space, from looking at our own planets, to looking outside of our galaxy. this is beyond the milky way. and the famous ultra deep field of hubbell, we're seeing tens of thousands of galaxies in the
9:07 am
to us, as they did billions of years ago. >> and the galaxies, far far away, have you picked up a death star, have to ask that. >> we haven't seen a death star such as portray in the the film, but death stars in the galaxy, that are going through their own death throes. here's the images of stars that are dying, in some cases, emitting expulsions of the outer atmospheres. stars. the remnants are important, they're the stuff that the star created in the lifetime, and in the explosion, and some of it is heavier material in this explosion debris is material we need for life. some of the future stars and from this material, can actually take
9:08 am
in earlier stars, to create planets and the supporting conditions that we know we need for life. >> we've seen the different planets from hubbell. i want to see the falcon fly on by. >> we use hubbell -- yeah, we use it to study the atmospheres of planets outside our solar system. many telescopes work together to find the planets, and hubbell is very good at understanding the atmospheric composition of the planets. so we're trying to find out if there's planets similar to earth, with earth like conditions, and we're finding more and more of the planetses outside of our own solar system, that are more and more like earth. we're hot on the trail, looking at the possibility of life beyond earth. >> can't wait to see the future, have to say, may the force be with you.
9:09 am
i'll leave you with a wonderful lightsaber. >> you want to ship one to me, i'll take it off your hands. >> absolutely, by the way, you can see our images after nasa.gov you can find us on twitter as well. >> all right, thank you. she said it best, check out the website, same for the twitter handle, there on the screen. i want that lightsaber down there, and back to you. >> i know, super cool. thank you very much. still to come, pucker up, and take a ride on the high roller for 10 bucks, details on

9:37 am
that's the source of water and oxygen, that's more valuable than gold in this environment. earth has become this very very massive super power, about 20 billion people, they've unified, it's one planet, basically run by the united nations, and they're a super power, the way the brits were back in the day when colonizing the planet. as colonies want to do, they become resentful of their home. they start to feel they want to be independent and break away from that, and we start the series, there was a lot of tension between earth and mars and the asteroid belt. the beltres as we call them are the working class of the solar system. they're exploited and used, for their labor, they're not given the good end of the stick. they're providing the minerals
9:38 am
benefits, so the tension between earth and mars and the beltres is very high -- belt people are very high. when we start the series, there's an unknown entity that has that agenda to start a war. >> and do you have a love interest on the show? your character? >> i certainly do. >> who would that be? >> that would be his space ship. >> oh, okay. >> alex has nothing more in his life, makes him happier to be behind the wheel of the space ship. flying to him is how he shows love. >> i'm glad for you, but i want to see a real human love interest too. i'll watch for that. >> okay, you'll be like that, you have plenty of that. a beautiful love story on there.
