loose. it's been about 24 hours since metro arrested a man accused of shooting a police officer yesterday morning. but there are still a lot of questions tonight about the man in custody. we have team coverage with the very latest.. beginning with action news anchor elizabeth gadley with more from the emerald suites.. where it happened. it all happened in building b here at the emerald suits, which is right behind me.... just feet from shanda hartnell's door.... she says she easily could have been hit by gunfire. take pkg 00:37:00:00 my bed is right there where it could have went through, and if it would two bullets hit the outside wall on the other side of her bedroom. 00:36:32:00 i've never been that close to being shot and having two bullet holes by my room, it's very devastating, i have a ten year old and i am so happy he wasn't here. not realizing exactly was going on hartnell raced outside to get her dogs, that's when she saw the officer.

were all hiding right here, right by the window, it was a pretty scary day according to metro the officer was investigating a completely unrelated domestic disturbance call at when the suspect, teag fox walked up and said something to him. before the officer could respond police say fox started shooting. philip davis took this video of the officer being wheeled away on the stretcher, you ccan see he's moving and obviously awake. 00:23:20:00 they helped him take off his shirt and everything else to make sure he was cool and they put him on the the good news is police say the officer is expect to make a full recovery 00:43:57:00 i'm happy the cop lived, you know and i pray for his family and hope he goes through a great recovery. because he did his job good. take on cam tag i was told by a number of people here at emerald suites that the suspect, teag fox, lived in one reporting from emerald suits, i'm elizabeth gadley channel 13 action news. our team coverage continues. tonight - metro is releasing

image of the suspect for everyone to see. but if you were watching us last night, you already know what the guy looks like. action news was the very first station to show you what the suspect looked like. and we did it nearly 24 hours ago. we worked our sources and got our hands on this photo of teag fox a mere 30 minutes after the arrest. tonight, contact 13 investigative reporter stephanie zepelin is gathering new information. shes live at police headquarters. despite their call for citizen tips on the crime, metro isn't sharing much. more than 24 hours after an officer was shot, we still have a lot of questions that metro won't answer for us. they did confirm for us today that this man, 38-year-old teag fox shot one of their officers. lombardo says he was a 21 year member of the force working on patrol. we do not know his current condition. fox, on their other hand, was booked into the clark county detention center and refused our request for an interview. he faces a slew of charges, including attempted murder.....three of those

pleasant day for las vegas with some breezy southwest winds pushing temperatures above normal. the southwest winds won't be too crazy and therefore mixing won't be too intense so highs will only be about 3-5 above normal, although that does make for a very pleasant winter day. expected highs in the las vegas valley will be right around 60 with a couple areas breaking into the low 60s but not much warmer than that. breaking news about several bank robberies. breaking news about several bank robberies.

stole from 7 banks. and apparently he's a creature of habit. officers say he jumped over the counter each time to get to the jonathan lee is now in police custody. a valley woman says her car was shot at! it happened yesterday near mount vista and flamingo. police don't have suspects in custody - but they also aren't sure if the car was hit with a bullet. it's a story you'll see only on action news. action news reporter michael burton spent the afternoon with the driver - in an attempt to to get to the bottom of this. a cracked window - shell casings left on the ground. today, rachel macdougall is just happy to be alive. "i was driving right along this curve here, and all of a sudden my windshield got smashed. i felt this smash on my windshield, and glass flew all over the inside of my car." it happened yesterday near mount vista street and flamingo road - around 4:45pm. "i was very impressed with my

not crash into anything as i was going." but the question remains...what actually hit her car? "my first though my was that it was a rock." a rock thrown from behind this wall - where the road bends. but - this morning - her husband made an interesting find. "my husband came back this morning looking for evidence that somebody shot at my car." and he found these - four shell casings - that appear to come from a 25 millimeter handgun. he even marked exactly where he found them. "it was probably some bored kid or somebody high or otherwise student who sat over there and just took pot shots at cars as they came up the street." police say - based on the available evidence - they still can not confirm that rachel was shot at. in fact - they've listed incident as vandalism. "there's a whole apartment complex here. chances are somebody heard shots." i spoke with members of the maintainance crew at the apartment complex.

gun shots yesterday. looklive: police have not arrested any suspects in this case - but according to metro's crime map - two nights - at about 11:30pm - police did receive a report that someone near this intersection was carrying a gun. reporting near mount vista and flamingo - michael burton - channel 13 action news. a man is arrested after leading police on a wild chase that ended near washington and jones it happened those morning when police spotted a stolen car and tried to pull the driver over near boulder highway and lamb. but.. the driver sped away. eventually.. he tried to bail out of the vehicle while it was still moving.. causing it to crash into another car. the suspect ran into the backyard of a home and tried to so at that point once the air unit has eyes on a suspect vehicle then ground patrol unites will back off so there is a limited amount of danger to people that are on the roadway." laura meltzer lvmpd 11 seconds culley elementary was on

the suspect was the only person injured. an action news update tonight boulder city police say they're investigating the drugs used at an animal shelter. formal charges have now been filed against former animal control supervisor mary jo frazier. frazier is accused of euthanizing more than 100 animals and violating the city code that requires a five-day waiting period and veterinarian review before an animal is killed. this week, boulder city officials released a letter to the district attorney dated dec. 10 that indicated police would investigate "potential chain of custody issues associated with pharmaceuticals used at the animal shelter." a bad fire sends a man to the hospital with burns. up next.. we'll hear from a woman who also survived the fire.. and tell you about the frantic moments as it was being called-in to 9-1-1. we have the latest on the billion dollar negotiations happening in carson city. we'll bring you more in a live report.

of three expected bills to pave the way for a billion dollar factory in north las vegas. state lawmakers are about 48-hours into a special session with a billion dollar deal and thousands of jobs on the line. action news reporter bryan callahan is live in carson city where he has been tracking all of the negotiations. ad lib about vote if the bill passes it would then head over to the senate for discussion. but lawmakers there are having trouble with their commerce bill to fund the incentive package. this afternoon the they sent the bill back for a second round of amendments. this after the legal team spent the night and most of the day making amendments to both bills and writing a third.

a florida sherlated into a gunfight. investigators say the driver was asked to show his license.. then punched the officer.. pulled a gun and started shooting. the officer and the supsect were both wounded during the gunfire. police say the suspect.. who's now facing a number of charges.. has already served 20-years for attempted murder. north las vegas police are asking for your help, to identify the man seen in these pictures. detectives believe he pulled off several armed robberies over the past month. in one incident, the suspect shot someone. that victim is still recovering at umc. if you think you might know the
