"i went back to her house and i looked for tire marks." using a spare key - she pressed the panic button repeatedly - following the sound of her car's alarm, she found it! what was missing? tons of valuables - documents with her home address. the suspect kept the car key - which also had marlene's house key on the same ring. that's why she's convinced the guy in this video is the man that stole the car - coming to her home to break in and steal more. but by that time - she had already changed her locks. "the package, the car, it's just materialistic stuff, but the fact that he could come back. he knows where i live." marlene says the video shows the suspect trying to open the front door. i'll let you be the judge of that. at this time, there's no hard evidence proving that this is the same guy who stole the car, but according to marlene - when you know...you know.

biggest fear." -end of pkg- metro is reviewing the surveillance video today - and they're actively searching for suspects - but, right now they can't confirm whether the man in the video is the man that stole the car. reporting live near lake mead and nellis - michael burton - channel 13 action news. we're learning more about the woman police say was behind the wheel of the car that plowed down dozens on the las vegas strip. her cousin spoke to contact 13 investigative reporter stephanie zepelin. there are so many victims of this crash, some still in the hospital recovering. the big question for them, their loved ones, and for police is why did this happen?? and that's also a question lakeisha holloway's family is struggling with today.

there are some questions the family still did not want to answer. they did not want to tell us why she was in vegas, or where she was headed. they say they're cooperating with detectives but did not want to talk about the case or about her daughter. live at the clark county detention facility, soc. lakeisha holloway.. is due in court tomorrow -- she was supposed to make an appearance today, but didn't show. earlier today, district attorney steve wolfson that he has filed one charge of "murder with a deadly weapon".. one charge of "child abuse, neglect or endangerment".. and one charge of "leaving the scene of an accident." meantime, 24 year old lakeisha holloway is on suicide watch. the deadly strip crash has many asking if more should be done to protect people walking along the las vegas strip. some have even suggested adding

a unique perspective of the volatile situation. action news reporter david schuman reported on this breaking news last week....and he brings us the story. intro: "police swarmed a neighborhood near las vegas boulevard and craig when brenda kimberling wouldn't come out for several hours last week. we now know what the end of that standoff looked like -- some people might find the following video disturbing." she comes out onto her front porch with a shotgun barrel under her own chin. it appears she's yelling at police "do you see this?" over and over. metro says kimberling was having trouble with the trigger...and you can see she eventually turns the gun toward officers. that was all the signal the swat team needed to take action. tag: "police say they were originally called to the home when they found out from kimberling's friends that she was trying to overdose on pills. in the newsroom, david schuman, channel 13 action news." the woman charged with hitting and killing a man pushing his granddaughter down the street

today. galina kilova has been sentenced to 6 to 15-years in prison. you'll remember she sparked outrage last year...., after she waited days to turn herself in.. because she wanted to spend the holidays with her family. . coming up at 6:30, action news reporter yasmeen hassan will have reaction from the victim's family and galina kilova herself. an action news update tonight bail has been set at one-million dollars for the man accused of shooting a metro police officer. teag fox appeared in court this morning. his bail was set at $1 million dollars. fox is facing several charges, including attempted murder with a deadly weapon of a police officer. police say fox approached officer gregory sedminik at the emerald suites apartments... and asked him twice, "are you here to kill me?" he then told the officer to "look up" before firing three rounds... hitting sedminik below the arm. the officer is expected to make a full recovery. action news is tracking the latest weather developments a live look outside right now as today is the first official day of winter. could we see some rain or even

an action news updabail has been set at seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars for david coleman. police say he was speeding down las vegas boulevard saturday night... when he hit and killed thomas phillips riding a moped. coleman then took off, but was later arrested. new developments tonight on that horrific house fire that left one person dead and three others badly hurt.. the coroner has confirmed that 45- year-old mario jimenez was burned to death -- and it has been ruled murder. this happened back in november at a home near lamb and sherill. authorities say the house was intentionally set on fire...with jimenez and his family members inside... tied up. neighbors were able to rescue two women and a baby. another man who had been stabbed.. also made it out alive. however, when neighbors went back in to save jimenez.. it was too late. police still havent made any arrests -- or released a description of the suspect. an apartment goes up in flames -- and the renters say their

the office that lives here on property. she was the one that was beating on our door." that's maybe the scariest part-- no smoke alarm went off! the father of the home says they've been broken for months and even though he's asked... management hasn't done anything. and that's exactly why we got involved. the first stop we went for answers: the leasing office. not long after that, we got a call back from the apartment managers...who says this isn't entirely their fault. they claim they just bought the complex last week... and when they did there were a lot of incomplete work orders. but the president of the new management group assures us he plans on inspecting every alarm. parker collins channel thirteen action news. you better believe we didn't stop there. this is all about accountability. we also wanted to find out what the previous management group had to say about this. the did tell us they hadn't heard about the fire... but we want to know about the

home sales plunged sharply in november, as rising prices are creating affordability pressures and new regulations have delayed finalizing purchases. the national association of realtors says sales of existing homes were down 10.5 percent.

changes for how much n-v energy is going to pay people with solar panels. today, the nevada public utilities commission voted to adopt a plan that will reduce how much n-v energy pays customers for excess energy their solar panel produce. the new plan also changes the flat service rate for customers with those solar panels. the changes would phase in over
