" people pulling out their cameras in mississippi - natsot - "i can't stick around here - gotta go find some cover." as a massive funnel cloud tore across the state. some people caught on the side of the road? trying to decide where to turn? sot - "back it up! no! you ain't got time to turn around!" natsot - woman - "there's a tornado in front of us." man - "settle down." this couple capturing this scary moment - natsot - "it looks like there's 2..." when one twister - became two. natsot - "oh wow." in the town of clarksdale - the storm hit so fast one family evacuating their home had to shelter with neighbors. sot - eugina irby - clarksdale, ms "tornado just hit us? we in it, but we made it." that family's house torn to pieces, the roof gone? but the christmas tree and presents survived. sot - eugina irby - clarksdale, ms "thank you jesus!" we're told the husband of 32-year- old jessica valenzuela... tried to stop the car as it was dragging his wife down the street. this -- as the suspect -- lakeisha holloway -- appeared in court today for the first time. (nat pop 10:10) "ms. holloway, do you understand and agree with that? yes mam." for many many feet while her husband was running after her banging on the window of the car begging for her to stop." it was a brief arraignment proceeding. holloway was shackled and stone faced as the district attorney called her actions appalling and opened up about how valenzuela died. but defense attorneys say it's too soon to draw any conclusions. (joseph abood, public defender 01:44) "she's distraught, the weight and gravity of what happens in a case like this affects everybody." holloway is due back in court on january 20th. an action news update tonight. metro police have charged a man thought to be responsible for

strip... during the fight of the century. police say 23-year-old " deangelo matthews" was already in custody at the clark county detention center on an unrelated incident when he was named as a suspolice had been searching for a suspect since 27-year-old "da=shawn hawkins" was found dead from an apparent head injury... in the valet area of the paris hotel and casino ...following the mayweather- pacquiao fight a homeowner opens fire killing one burglar.. and wounding another...and get this...both those crooks were just 17 years old. new tonight... we're hearing for the first time... from a neighbor who says... he was awoken by the whole thing. action news reporter bryan callahan is live from metro headquarters with details on the deadly confrontation. the shooting happened just before noon... but the neighbor says he awaken by the crime just like the man inside the home. the only difference is the neighbors says it took him a lot longer to figure out what was going on. 17.10.45.00 "i was laying down in my bedroom and i heard two bangs.

apart." aaron rose say initially he thought the noise was someone kicking a trash can... but later learned it was something much worse when he came outside to find a homicide detective outside his garage. 17.15.22.00 "he was looking for a block because that is apparently what he had used to get into the house." the window to rose's neighbor's home boarded up after detectives say two 17-year-olds broke in. the man inside reportedly grabbed a gun before heading downstairs. police say that is where he confronted and shot one suspect. as that teen made his way out the door and into another neighbor's yard... 17.14.25.00 "there was actually a blood stain on the block wall. it was pretty surreal. police say the man was confronted by the second. the man again firing -- killing the second teen. police have not released the identities of either suspect... or the 13-year-old who was detained in connection with the home invasion -- who police believe was the look-out for the other two. but within hours a couple had shown up believeing one of the teens was their child. 00.01.33.00 "my husband got a

articulate why you feel like you are threatened 20 randy sutton a big question police are asking: what was the man's motivation for trying to get into the apartment? now an update to a story that you asked us to investigate...its something you'll see only on action news. a family barely made it out alive after a fire destroyed their apartment just days before christmas. a nieghbor had to come to their rescue.... because the smoke alarms in their apartment weren't working. today - the complex managers are making things right. new management just took over this property days ago..and since the fire - the family says the company has been bending over backwards to help. maintenance crews are going door to door, checking everyone's alarms. they even brought in a crew to make sure the family could move into a new unit in time for the holidays. but it's not just the property managers who are stepping up. the whole communoty is rallying behind the family...donating

florida woman collapsed outside a hospital -- forced to leave in handcuffs -- despite her pleas that she was in pain. . abc's linzie janis has details on what the autopsy now shows may have happened. script: angela donar says she watched her niece 57 year old

police hauled her out of a hospital in handcuffs. donar (aunt of barbara dawson) "they didn't do all they could" relatives say it all started around 1030 pm sunday night... dawson was rushed to this small florida hospital complaining of stomach pain... she was evaluated by doctors and discharged just before five a.m... but her family says dawson still didn't feel well and wanted to stay. that's when...lawyers for the family say hospital staff called the police. parks (lawyer)- we have a lady was in the hosptial asking for help who was kicked out of the hospital using the polcie taking her into handcuffs family say nurses took her off the hospital's oxygen? and collasped...still in handcuffs near the police car. sot - according to a police report... medical staff observed "dawson had a pulse adn appeared to be breathing" ... she was taken back into the hospital where died... the medical examiner telling police dawson suffered a blood clot in her lungs.

hospital saying it can't comment on why dawson was removed ?but staying " in such cases the safety and comfort of all patients is considered" the florida department of law enforcement says it will investigate. linzie janis abc news new york. surveillance cameras are rolling in florida as the driver of this ford f-150 slams right into the front of a store in north miami. three guys jump out.. climb in through the garage meant to keep them out and head right for the store's robbins jeans-- they cost between 3 and 700 dollars each. after leaving there, the group was caught on camera, again... breaking into another store where they stole 11 hover boards and more designer jeans. police are still searching for the suspects. a muslim family from the united kingdom is outraged, saying u-s officials stopped them from boarding a plane for a planned vacation to disneyland.

says he and his family -- two brothers and their nine children -- were told nothing except they weren't allowed to travel to the u-s.... despite having previously obtained clearance. he says he feels like they were targeted for being muslim. mohammad tariq mahmood, holidaymaker who had been refused to board plane to us: "the only thought that came to my head, i know that it is maybe just a saying whatever, doesn't make them stop us. we were cleared, we had our visas, we had our esta's because, maybe because we're muslim and we had a muslim name and it (inaudible) because there was nobody else in that cabin that as muslim." he of course was referencing the u-s presidential candidate donald trump who has called for a temporary ban on muslims visiting the u-s. u-s officials have declined to comment. and speaking of trump... in tonight's red white and blue 2016 political coverage... he's still on the hot seat

gifts to family members were surprised to find short lines at area post offices. this was the scene at the post tonight. today was the deadline to send packages... and still get them in time for christmas. the post office expects to deliver around 145-thousand packages statewide tomorrow. this as they say package deliveries were up about 15 percent this holiday season.

rooftop solar installation company... "solar city"... says it will stop selling and installing panels in nevada. solar city issued a statement saying the nevada "public utilities commission"....
