severe weather has brought conditions not usually seen this time of year. from the first december tornado in michigan to record high temperatures in the east. abc's bazi kanani has the latest. the christmas day cleanup-- after a series of rare december tornadoes from arkansas to michigan. (nats/sot) "monster tornado" gwendolyn jones and her granddaughter lost their home in holly springs, mississippi. at least 11 others lost their lives... as more than 24 reported tornadoes barreled through this week. police just arrested maria escalante.. accused of shooting and killing her husband at the plaza hotel. this happened last night just before midnight...we're told the body was found somewhere on the sixth floor of the south tower. as you can imagine, this was quite scary for guests staying on that floor. they had to be moved to other rooms. we are following this story and bring you the latest information as we get it. a valley woman is praying for a christmas miracle after her husband went missing! 72-year-old wallace inkenbrandt was last seen around 10am when he left his home to run an errand. the search has led police all the way to the california state line. that's where action news reporter michael burton joins us live with more. live intro: rikki/jacqui - one of first things police did was track wallace's phone and according to their radar - it's near one of the casino's on the state line. questioning how this could have happened. "he may have been disoriented

so we don't want to rule that out that he possibly did it, but we can't rule out foul play either." at this point authorities are still searching for wallace's phone, his car, and of course wallace himself. he drives a silver nissan sentra. that's the car he was using when he left his house yesterday to go to a walmart near mlk and craig. i'm told that right around noon - he sent a text to his wife saying he was almost home - but he never showed up. that's when family members rushed to the walmart - looking inside the building and in the surrounding neighborhood. after hours of no luck. they called police. this morning metro's missing persons unit led a search on foot near the state line and in the air using their choppers. wallace's family is most concerned for his health. he has cancer and dementia - two illnesses that require daily medication. winds are expected to gust to 60mph down the colorado river valley and there could be gusts overnight lows expected as low as 10 for pahrump, primm and searchlight. for las vegas there is a chance for sub-freezing temperatures tonight, but strong winds will keep temperatures at or just slightly below freezing for the most part. the winds will increase tomorrow as a secondary low pressure area passes from our northeast to our southeast. the winds, along with a reinforcing shot of cold air mean that wind chills will be in the 20s to start out, and be in the mid 40s, and some areas outside the valley won't break out of the 30s. a wind advisory is possible for the las vegas valley tomorrow. sunday the winds will die out but very cold air aloft will keep temperatures chilly around the valley. highs will in the upper 40s with a few more clouds around. the downside to the winds dying out is temperatures will fall very quickly sunday night, and valley sunday night into monday. high pressure starts to nose in
