girls in his congregation. 56-year-old otis holland was a pastor here in las vegas... at the united faith church. multiple women from the church have testified against "reverend otis"... saying he abused girls as young as 7- years-old. holland has pleaded not guilty, and is expected to testify in his trial. if convicted, he faces life in prison. a remote national wildlife refuge is now the scene of an armed occupation. a group of protestors are holed up in a federal building there to demonstrate against the punishment for demonstrate against the punishment for some local ranchers. abc's elizabeth hur explains why they're so upset, and why the f-b-i is now involved. < abc news.. inside the standoff.. where dozens of militia members.. some openly armed.. are camping out at this federal wildlife refuge.. claiming.. killed just days into the new year. she has been identified as 56- year-old sherri green. officers say the las vegas woman was jaywalking last night near durango and sahara... when she was hit by a jeep. the driver is cooperating with police. metro does not believe speed or alcohol were factors. breaking news on that volkswagen emissions cheating scandal-- federal authorities are now suing the german automaker... for illegaly installing that software that let diesel cars cheat on emissions tests. the software was found in 600- thousand vehicles here in the u-s. meantime, volkswagen is expected to start recalling the cars affected today. all affected cars are supposed to be fixed by the end of the year. taking a live look at the strip... power is still out more than 24- hours later...over at the we're told it all started yesterday morning...on floors 24 to 47. the people living there say management first offered to give them a free hotel room... but then changed their tune. they say the outage is a

u-s marshalls tracked him down here in vegas. when metro officers caught up with him, officers say they thought he had a gun in his hand, and refused to drop it. when he walked towards them they opened fire, killing him. it turned out it was a cellphone in his hand. "i've never experienced a loss like this." (butted with) "i just feel like he's another victim of police brutality," that's childress's girlfriend... who's pregnant with his child. she says dozens of their friends and family say he was a good guy...regardless of his run-ins with the law. an action news update now... we're one step closing to solving a murder mystery. these two people on the screen are now behind bars... suspected of shooting and killing a man in his car.. at a 24-hour fitness parking lot. they are kyle staats and megan hippie. you may remember last tuesday, police found 42-year-old neil gandler dead in his car in the parking lot near rainbow and alta.

out why they killed him. we also learned the name of the man shot and killed at a siegel suites. the coroner identifies him as 28-year-old antwone deonte smith. police say a fight broke out between smith and two other men early saturday morning...near craig and nellis. during the scuffle, shots were fired. another man was hit...but should be ok. police don't have any surveillance video to review... so they're working to piece together why the fight happened, and who's the suspect on the run. a neighborhood flooded by police for hours...all because of a standoff. metro surrounded a home near maryland parkway and tropicana because of a reported domestic violence call. when officers arrived on-scene, they say a woman came running out of the house. and inside was a man who they say was threatening to kill himself. eventually he surrendered. he was arrested for domestic violence. singer chris brown is under investigation... a woman claims the 26-year-old stole her phone and hit her... after she took a picture of him inside a party at the palms

speeding when he lost control, and hit the median... sending him across 4 lanes of traffic. an elderly man killed riding his segway. today, we're hearing from his family. 72-year-old james harrington was found dead just down the road from his house near rainbow and craig saturday night. his family believes he fell off the segway. they say he liked using a segway to get around town...because he had problems with blood clots and didn't like to drive. morgan edwards, james harrington's daughter part of his retirement celebration thing was the segway so he can get back and forth to go to subway, domino's pizza, grocery store. the coroner is still working to determine his offical cause of death. this just in-- we've learned democratic presidential candidate martin o'malley is returning to las vegas this week! he'll be here wednesday...ahead of next month's democratic caucus. he'll address the "battle born battleground" first in the west caucus countdown dinner. then on thursday, o'malley will speak with the economic club of las vegas.
