out to primm for all the lotto maddness. but we begin action news live at 11 with breaking news. the hunt is on tonight for suspects in a home invasion near desert inn and fort apache. no ones been caught yet. let's go to action news reporter david schuman who's live with the latest. david this isn't one of those times where i can point at something behind me and say look at what's happening. this is a widespread search that's taken over this neighborhood tonight. we have confirmed this was a home invasion involving multiple male suspects. the residents of the home were inside at the time and they were not allowed to leave. the men took off and that's when the search started. metros helicopter was circling for at least an hour shining its spotlight down in the neighborhood. k-9 units have been walking around. no results yet. people who live around here are being told to stay inside. the few we talked to said this

and we have just learned that there were no winners for tonights jackpot. the next drawing will be on wednesday for an absolutely astounding estimate of 1-point-3 billion dollars. a developing story tonight. police are investigating an accident involving a man riding a scooter and a pick-up truck towing a trailer. the accident happened near bonanza and clarkway drive. authorites say the truck turned in front of the scooter, causing the rider to lose control and skid across the pavement. that rider was taken to umc with life- threatening injuries. a woman is dead after an r-t-c bus slams into a bus stop near tropicana and dean martin. it happened around 5am this morning. police say the woman was sitting under the bus shelter - when the bus driver lost control and drove right into it. the victim was pronounced dead on scene. action news reporter michael burton has the full story.

wanna show you exactly how it all went down. the bus driver was driving east on tropicana - before coming onto the sidewalk - striking the bus shelter where these cones are. the marks on the ground trace the bus' path back onto the road before coming to a full stop at dean martin drive. "he's responsible for maintain control of his vehicle. you know? he left the roadway." metro seargant richard strader had a tough time putting words together - reflecting on the devastation. the victim was sitting under the bus shelter like most riders. this is what the shelter looked like after it was hit. more than one-hundred feet away - first responders marked where they found the victim's shoes. they say the body was so mutilated - it took them longer than usual to determine the gender. commuters who use the bus stops on this block are upset, but not shocked. they say the it's full of dangerous driving - and they're

complex on harmon avenue. authorities say the victim died being stabbed during a fight with olds. the victim has not been identified. no word on what started that fight. nye county sheriff's deputies have made two arrests after a man allegedly shot at a woman inside a pahrump casino. lee anthony daniels and desiree lewis were both arrested on charges ranging from attempted murder to assault with a deadly weapon. authorities say daniels got into an argument with a woman inside a cafe at the pahrump nugget hotel-casino and allegedly fired a shot at her before fleeing in a vehicle driven by lewis. the victim was hospitalized for a non-life-threatening injury to her leg. an update tonight on the standoff in oregon. it's been one week since the standoff began. tensions continue to mount in burns as armed protestors occupy the national wildlife refuge. ammon bundy and his militia group have rejected the sheriff's offer of a peaceful resolution. wanda moore has the latest.

the valley, but will theses temperatures hang around or could we see some rain in the next couple of days? lets check in with action news meteorologist karla huelga and weather first. karla? a relatively weak storm system will push through the area tonight and will bring slight chances for rain through tomorrow morning. conditions will be dry and mostly clear by sunday afternoon and highs will top out in the low to mid 50s around the valley. the first half of the workweek will be pretty quiet, with highs in the low to mid 50s and mainly sunny skies on monday and tuesday.

(sobs) the leak is happening more than 8-thousand feet underground... southern california gas is planning to capture and burn some of the escaping gas. the company is also digging a relief well to stop the leak. a major winter blast has hit minnesota. some parts of the state have seen temperatures dip below freezing. forecasters say the recent el nino spoiled residents with warmer-than- usual weather over the past few weeks. tomorrow afternoon's n-f-l game between the minnesota vikings

joaquin guzman is back behind bars after months on the run. abc's matt gutman is in mexico city with more on the capture. he wanted to spin his infamy - into celebrity. instead - "el chapo" - drug kingpin and one of the world's most wanted criminals - is back in handcuffs. nats the drug lord paraded in front of cameras as authorities rushed him back to the same super max prison he tunneled his way out of last year. nats but after months on the run - special forces finally catching up with joaquin guzman?. and the attorney general says that's thanks to "el chapo" himself? and a healthy dose of vanity. apparently, after his escape last year, the infamous criminal wanted a biopic made about him - so his people
