((ad-lib)) high pressure has taken over the southwest for the next couple of days. this means mainly sunny to partly sunny skies are going to be common along with high temperatures getting back to nearly normal values. low to mid 50s will be common today through the work week and into the next weekend. winds are expected to be light low pressure off the coast or oregon begins to develop and strengthen during this time. as it stands, the low looks to develop an elongated cold front and head east. increase in moisture and a small break in stability over southern nevada results in the increase of clouds, breezy conditions and a small potential for light to moderate the back half of the forecast, confidence is still lacking. i would leave the umbrella in the closet but keep it to the front. and more breaking news... iraqi officials say gunmen have stormed a mall in a mainly

it's been a deadly weekend othe valley. the latest crash happened around noon yesterday in north las vegas. a nasty crash at off a bridge near the union pacific railroad tracks. police tell us rocky dewayne dean and belinda ann west died because of the accident. witnesses told police the car was speeding, lost control and went off the road. 14:44:08 aaron patty, north las vegas police department "it's the first fatal crash for north las vegas so a good reminder for people to slow down and be aware of your surroundings." officers are now looking into if alcohol was also a factor. just hours before that... a cadillac driver, 43 year old carson keel winget, died after rear ending a semi on the i-15 southbound near the 95. the man inside the cadillac was pronounced dead at the scene.

nhp had to shut down lanes on the 15 for almost 6 hours while they investigated. saturday night, two people were killed and another is recovering with serious injuries... after two cars collided at the intersection at boulder highway and d-i. police say 81 year old isidra jayubo was driving a dodge dart made a left hand turn in front of a pickup truck. the woman and her 83 year old passenger, mario gomez jayubo, died at sunrise hospital. and just after midnight saturday morning, a man died... when he lost control of his motorcycle and went down. this happened on dean martin under the flamingo overpass. the rider has been identified as maurice walker from las vegas. high pressure has taken over the southwest for the next couple of days. this means mainly sunny to partly sunny skies are going to be common along with high temperatures getting back to nearly normal values. low to mid 50s will be common

controls and are too easily distracted. emergency crews in pennsylvania rescued a worker who got trapped in a hole at least 14-feet deep. officials say he got stuck while he was working on a sewer line in old city this weekend. it's still unclear how he got trapped. but rescuers managed to pull him out about two hours later. witnesses say he was conscious and talking to his rescuers. the worker was taken to the hospital for observation. actor sean penn is now saying he was worried officials were monitoring his trip to interview fugitive drug lord joaquin "el chapo" guzman. the drug king-pin has now been captured... and penn was right; he just didn't know how closely. the mexican newspaper el universal has published 10 photographs that appear to show penn and actress kate del castillo arriving at an airport in october and greeting the men who apparently took them to a small airstrip, from which they flew to the jungle camp to meet

federal investigators and philadelphia police are looking into claims that the man who ambushed a police officer-- is a part of a bigger terror plot. an anonymous tip has philadelphia police and the f-b-i on high alert. the five year police department veteran is still recovering from three bullet wounds to the left arm. meanwhile the f-b-i and philadelphia police confirm they are both actively investigating this new claim... which alleges that the main suspect and the three other men were radicalized at a west philadelphia mosque. to the arrest now of the jewel thief behind a string of robberies in the south -- 24 year old abigail lee kemp is faced judge this midday -- accused of stealing millions of dollars worth of jewels -- and abc's steve osunsami has the story scanner nats: "i need you to respond to an armed robbery." police arrested 24 year old abagail lee kemp on friday at this home in surburban atlanta
