caesars palace with more on how the fans and community are reacting to his death. bryan. many people walking up and down the strip are just learning of angelil's passing this evening. this as caesar's has a message up on the marquee for celine dion's husband and longtime manager. along with that message.. caesars released a statement remembering the incredible contribution angelil and celine made to las vegas entertainment. the 73-year-old passed away today at the couple's lake las vegas home after a long battle with cancer. fans are sending their thoughts and prayers to dion and her family. the couple have three children together and angelil has other children from a previous marriage. dion has asked for privacy at this time. dion has asked for privacy at this time.

if you've been suffering from powerball fever.. you know it only took 3 winning tickets for the cure. but it still didn't stop a lot of people from buying more lottery tickets today. action news reporter parker collins tried to find out why. the latest earnings report from banking powerhouse j-p morgan chase topped wall street's expectations. the bank posted a quarterly profit of nearly 5-and-a-half billion dollars.. up 10 percent from the same quarter a year ago. in perspective.. that's more than 3- times the powerball jackpot. a-t-m and overdraft fees are costing americans so much money now.. they've become a campaign issue. j-p-morgan chase.. bank of america and wells fargo made more than 5 billion dollars last year in overdraft fees alone. now.. they're drawing criticism from democratic presidential candidates hillary clinton and bernie sanders. in fact.. sanders says if elected.. he'll cap the fees at 2-dollars.. instead of the average of 4-dollars currently being charged. that's tonight's 'financial focus.' let's go to bryan scofield and 'weather first.' . the series of storms pushing onto the west coast will continue into this weekend but

desert southwest will keep most of the area dry this weekend. low pressure will drench northern california pretty much throughout the week but those storms will only throw some high clouds over top of las vegas starting friday and continuing through saturday. that storm will cause a few sprinkles north and east of las vegas saturday afternoon but won't create more than few showers in the local mountains for clark county. high temperatures will stay largely unchanged friday and saturday courtesy of some thicker cloud cover for the region although low temperatures will rise due to that same cloud cover. sunday clouds will clear out and allow for temperatures to rise to near 60 for las vegas before another system rolls in monday with a shot for showers on tuesday. clouds remain for the remainder

a new study suggests.... that might not be the case. andrew spencer explains.... in tonight's health minute. as cigarette smoking rates fall, the popularity of hookahs is on the rise. however, a new analysis puts the notion o hookah as safer than cigarettes in doubt. the university of pittsburgh school of medicine found that smoking hookah exposes the user to 125-times the smoke... monoxide... compared to a cigarette. the researchers looked at the results from 17-previous studies to come to the conclusion. here's why this is important... the c- d-c says hookah smoking is slightly more common among high school students than cigarette smoking. the pittsburgh researchers admit its difficult to compare the two forms of smoking, since people generally smoke multiple cigarettes in a day... and hookah smokers may only use it a few times per day. ultimately, they believe he practice needs to be examined more closely than it currently is.
