training or education will be able to earn more down the road. teachers will also see some better healthcare. the school district itself is getting millions of dollars to take-on bullying. some of the money will go toward adding social workers and other mental health professionals in schools. one woman told us her god-daughter moved out of state because she was bullied.. and hopes the funding will help other children. 18:12:19:08 kimberly gates, bullying victim's godmother that's a blessing, because they really need it 18:12:26:16 (butted with) i hope they take the money and use it in the right way the district says schools should be able to use the extra money immediately. one issue still not resolved -- if the school district should be broken up into five smaller districts. parents, teachers and students all have very different opinions. parent and teacher: "i think that it is a good idea because our district is so large, however, if it's done correctly you know making sure everyone has the same opportunity."

metro issued a warrant for robinson in the death of tiyvone taylor mills last october. a son accused of killing his own father confesses to police. in daron clanton's arrest report, it says he told police it all started with an argument about his grades at u-n-l-v. daron said no, because he hadn't been enrolled in classes there for more than a year. when his father started yelling, daron says he got scared...he ran and got a gun. daron says he opened fire several times. the 22-year-old is facing a murder charge. new outrage in chicago after a new video was released showing a black teenager.. shot and killed by white police officers. "shame on you! shame on you! shame on you!" frustrated protesters chanted "shame on you" during the city's annual martin luther king, jr. breakfast. the anger centers around this 2013 video.. showing two officers chasing 17- year old cedrick chatman.. then shoot him. chatman was a suspect in a carjacking.

clouds hanging around through saturday as well with highs in the mid 50s. temperatures sunday will warm further as sunshine breaks out after saturday's clouds and many areas will break into the low 60s for the first time since before christmas. rain isn't likely as these lows despite decent low level moisture in california since they aren't very strong and will track through northern nevada into central utah. the high sierra in california will squeeze the vast majority of the moisture out of the clouds before they make it into nevada leaving relatively dry air in place at low levels with thick cloud cover at mid and higher levels. a slightly stronger system will push in for tuesday which could see a light sprinkle or two the bigger story will be a moderate warm up coming next week with highs expected to push into the low and mid 60s by thursday and friday with a good mixture of sun and clouds. 12 people are still missing afer two military helicopters collide off the coast of oahu

< smartphones? and tablets. kids spend way more time on these devices than they do watching television. entertainment-they might also be a public health concern. researchers at the university of nottingham, england put ke$ha and pitbull's "timber" at the top of their own list of music videos - videos they say exposed the greatest number of british kids to depictions of alcohol in late 2013. tobacco imagery, another problem? jason derulo's video for "trumpets" took the top spot in this category. thirteen- to fifteen-year-old girls in particular seeing more depictions of alcohol and tobacco on youtube per person than any other age group. we know that smoking and drinking in the media can influence young people's decisions later in life. but youtube videos aren't regulated in the same way as tv and movies. a warning for parents? to pay more attention to what their kids are seeing on all screens - both big and small. with this medical minute, i'm dr. timothy johnson.
