close a walmart here in the valley. good evening... and thanks for joining us. i'm jacqui heinrich. a walmart supercenter in northeast las vegas is closing its doors for good tonight. action news reporter david schuman is live with what it means for employees ...as well as the loyal shoppers. david. taking this walmart out of the neighborhood is going to make life a lot more difficult f some people who rely on it to shop. the company says the closing is strictly a business decision. 13:36:26 sherry yonko "we need this walmart and it would be really nice if they don't shut it down." it's too late for that. the lights are going off. 13:05:23 alexander short "it's kind of that in retrospect kind of feeling because we always complained about coming here. it was always understaffed, you're waiting in line forever, but it really sucks that it's closing down." a walmart spokesperson says the craig and nellis location didn't fit into the company's long-term plan. the store is one of 154 walmarts closing nationwide. 13:06:04 short "five waltons in

to be still in iran and an american student, who was released independently has already headed home. lh, abc news, ny. an action news update tonight. one of the most wanted fugitives in america is in custody... the fbi says.. myloh mason.. is one of the men behind multiple violent bank robberies in colorado. surveillence video from a robbery in september shows two men wearing masks from the movie "scream".. jumping the counter.. guns in hand. authorities say.. they forced the tellers to the back and told them they would die unless they opened the vault. . the fbi says mason and two other accomplices were behind another robbery...where two innocent people were shot. mason.. remained on the run for months before investigators in colorado.. finally tracked him down.. and arrested him. a 3 vehicle accident on the 215 at warm springs this morning caused a severe traffic headache. eastbound 215 was closed from the airport connector to warm springs for over 5 hours after

wrong way on the 215 and struck 2 other cars. one of the victims was taken to u-m-c with serious injuries. police are investigating the accident. another crash overnight left more than over 2 thousand people without power for a short time after a car crashed into a transformer near sahara and fort apache. the power went out around 1 this morning... however the lights were restored just over an hour later. no word on injuries in that crash. action news is tracking the latest weather developments a live look outside right now. we saw some warmer weather today, but will those temperatures stick around? let's check in with action news meteorologist karla huelga in the weather center. karla the pacific storm track will continue to veer mostly to our north. however, we may be able to squeeze out a stray shower with two quick moving, early week systems. high temps will linger around 60 degrees both monday and tuesday and mostly cloudy skies

australia... a car smashes into a gas station nearly hitting a woman inside and it's all caught on camera. the woman disappears from sight as the car flies into the convenience store. it appears she is hit... but the car just misses her. the crash triggered a gas leak. authorities blocked off the area until it was contained. store workers dragged the two people inside the car out to safety. they were taken to the hospital for treatment. police are investigating what caused the accident-- and whether alcohol was a factor. dramatic moments of

officials say no charges are expected against stewart in this incident but the man he was arguing with -- an off-duty tulsa county sherrif's deputy -- is under investigation by his department for his part in the confrontation. a developing story out of hawaii tonight rescuers have expanded their search for the 12 marines missing since their two military helicopters collided in the waters off the hawaiian island of oahu. the marines were conducting training flights late thursday when officials believe the two ch-53 choppers crashed into each other. the u-s coast guard says no mayday call was received, just word that something had gone wrong. an outbreak of violent and deadly tornadoes--ripped through florida's west coast this morning. those storms killing two people--and injuring at least seven. phillip mena has the latest. steven and kelli wilson--were asleep in their mobile home--when that deadly tornado struck. sheriff w brad steube manatee county sheriff's department actually removed the mobile

by daybreak, residents--who survived the night--were out--surveying the damage. the cost--estimated in the millions. don jarvey/siesta key resident sot: this is the worst storm that i've ever been in in 43 years, but you live and move on, that's all. and despite the urge to dig in, officials are now telling residents with storm damage to stay away from their homes--until they're told--the structure's been cleared. phillip mena, abc news, sarasota, florida. and closer to home, a high surf advisory is in affect for southern california. waves as high as 15 feet are expected, making conditions in the water extremely dangerous. officals are advising people to stay out of the water. the high surf could bring dangerous rip currents. the advisory will remain for the next couple of days.
