continue okay. let's call it fashion week for geeks. the annual consumer electronics show, this year's offering in los angeles certainly did not disappoint geeks or nongeeks. showing us some of his we're not going to call him a geek. he is our giz wiz. dick debartolo. >> i have some fun stuff. >> what caught your eye?

first of all, if you wear magnifiers, these are from thin it's a way to always have glasses with you. i'm going to take off my regular glasses, they come in three magnifications. you click them on. i can see fine. the company says if they break, they'll replace them. >> they just hang on like that. >> and they come three ways. >> you want to try them? >> pull them out, clip them on the plain glasses are 20 bucks. >> you can't quite break them, right? >> no, you can't break them, don't worry. >> i can't -- that's really a senior moment there, sorry. >> it's okay. they're like $20 to get them and universal part for $25, or you can get them built in to a phone case for $40. this is the galaxy s5. so now i have a nice rugged case and my thin optics. >> and can you get like specific prescription? >> yes. >> three different magnifications. >> okay.

>> this is really great, this is called kangaroo. so this is a windows 10 computer with wi-fi, blue tooth, fingerprint. >> that thing? >> i know. so on the -- comes with a little dock. so the dock has usb in, two of them, keyboard goes in one. >> like that. >> right. and mouse goes in another, hdmi out goes to any monitor you want. so i hook this up to my 40-inch or 4k tv. and then i had windows 10 huge in my living room, and i can do my e-mail. and this is $99. >> the price fits. is this the smallest computer you've seen? >> absolutely. >> wow. >> it has built in battery, there are things called pc sticks. this can operate on its own with a built-in battery. >> all right. cool. >> this is great.

travel, you have the adapters for your two chargers, smartphone, tablet, your computer, the company said they can power 90% of all laptops, it comes with all of these tables and tips. this folds out, goes in the wall, now one of these charges your laptop and runs it. one of these charges your smartphone. >> very cool. >> one of these can run your tablet. if the plug is facing the wrong way at the hotel, you can rotate the plug. >> great, because that stuff usually takes up a lot of space. >> yes. >> you get all of this stuff in a small bag. 99 bucks. we got to move on. >> apc, so this is, you plug in your router. this is for small devices that during a black out, you want to stay powered. what's neat about this, if you need power on the run, take that out, throw it in your backpack, you can charge your phones and tablets. >> this is in case of an emergency. >> exactly. keep it plugged in all the time. >> right. >> our final guy is that

within. >> the outrage is fueled by what many say is a lack of diversity. there really is, even the academy president late last night saying she's disappointed to do some work. we got more from abc's lauren lyster. >> i will not be at the academy awards and i won't be watching. >> reporter: jada pinkett smith taking that firm statement to her facebook page. coming days after her husband will smith got snubbed for an academy award for "concussion." none of the academy awards 20 acting nominations went to a person of color reviving last year's controversy. she's not alone, director spike lee voicing his disappointment on facebook, writing he won't be attending the ceremony. lee addressed diversity in his acceptance speech at the academy's governors award in november. >> it's easy to be the president of the united states as a black person than to be the head of
