breaking news on the so-called affluenza teens. lawyers for ethan couch say he should be back in the u-s in the next few weeks. you'll remember couch is in mexico, after he and his mother fled. prosecutor say the two ran because the teen violated his probation in a deadly drunk driving crash in texas. his mother is already back in the u-s. hapening right now.. a professor at kent state university in ohio is under fbi investigation for potential ties to isis. abc's kenneth moton has details on what the professor is saying about the probe which follows an article in the student newspaper. < kent state university associate professor julio pino...under fbi investigation for possible ties to isis. the 55 year old man also known as "assad" teaches latin american and third world history at the ohio school. the fbi probe came to light after the editor of a student newspaper broke the story. federal agents interviewed her

prisoner exchange with the iranian government. this just in -- a judge has ruled the first baltimore police officer charged in the death of freddie gray...will not have to testify in the trials of the other officers. prosecutors wanted officer william porter to testify against four other officers. meantime, officer porter will be re-tried june. and the trial for the sixth officer charged is on hold. no school today for hundreds of children in detroit.. after teachers staged a massive sick out. the school district says more than 85 schools were shut down for the day. the teachers union says it's had enough with poor school conditions.. low wages and overcrowded classrooms. they're now demanding more from governor rick snyder.. who talked about the issue last night in his 'state of the state' address. gov. rick snyder (r) michigan the challenges are well known, the alternatives are defined, now is the time to get something done. great schools are critically important both to the city of detroit and the entire state of michigan. many teachers union members also held a rally today..

against the school district. an action news update on a man fired from his job at a car wash for smoking medical marijuana. kyler worthan says he has a medical card.. but was also denied unemployment benefits. we spoke to the unemployment office. they say you can only collect unemployment if you're fired for something outside your control. worthan is now appealing their decision because he says he needs medical marijuana.. so failing the drug test was out of his control. the candidates hoping to be the next president of the u-s are pulling out all the stops... as we're less than two weeks before iowa's kick-off caucuses. for republican frontrunner, he won a big endorsement from former alaska governor sarah palin. political analysts call palin's endorsement extremely valuable. dowd: keep in mind that sarah palin is more popular than any republican candidate running for president right now among republicans. on the democratic side, a stunning new poll shows bernie

delivered, she called customer service. she also told the zappos agent about how flooding devastated her community. the employee apologized and told her to give the wrong shoes to a neighbor in need. then when she went to check the box for the right shoes, she found they also gave her several blankets! carson cogdill, received blankets from zappos i opened it up and we read the message and were just stunned. and then reading all the words that the people that work for this company said... 'you rock.' 'thanks for all you do for your community.' overloaded plate of appetizers at your favorite chain? we have been hearing a lot about some high calorie servings of the foods you love at these well-known venues. but a new report? suggests that those fast food and chain restaurants aren't alone. researchers at tufts university? looking at restaurant meals in three major cities? finding that in many cases, mom and pop establishments were no better than chain restaurants? with equally large portions packing just as many calories. the average entr?e contains more than 12 hundred calories? that's more than half the daily calorie requirement for an average woman. and no particular cuisine was off the hook? researchers sampled everything from italian to mexican to chinese? finding belly-busting calorie counts in nearly everytyhing they tried. all the more reason, if you want a reasonable everyday calorie count, to consider fine dining from your kitchen at home versus a restaurant menu.
