in northwestern arizona, near phoenix. it happened near luke air force base. heres a live look, as our helicopter from our sister station in phoenix is on the way. right now, we only know the pilot was on board. investigators are trying to figure out what caused the crash. search crews are out right now trying to find the wreckage and any survivors. a zoo employee is in the hospital...after falling into a gorilla enclosure! you can see firefighters helping that man out.

zoo around 8-30 this morning. zoo officials say the employee was never in danger. it's unclear how the fall happened, but we're told that worker is in fair condition. back here at home, right now, the search is on for a shooter on the run! police say two men were fighting early this morning near lake mead and hollywood, when one of them pulled out a gun and started firing. jose hernandez // lvmpd 14:25:15 -- 14:25:22 "we did receive...to come out here." investigators are also trying to find out how these people fighting were related. the victim was shot in the leg, and should be ok. if you have any information, give crime stoppers a call. right now, a robbery suspect is on the run, and metro is asking for your help finding him. take a good look at your screen. police say the man entered a business near rainbow and charleston with a weapon and stole several items. if you recognize him, call metro or crime stoppers at

right now, investors are keeping a close eye on wall street. the dow is up about 147 points. at its worst, the dow was down more than 500-points yesterday...because of falling oil prices. also causing the roller coaster is the uncertainty in china's markets. but experts want to stress...don't take your money out. it looks bad now, but actually stocks are up 40- percent in the last 5-years. in just hours, republican presidential candidate donald trump kicks off a rally at the south point. doors actually just opened, but the event doesn't start until one. action news has a crew there, we're live-streaming the rally on our website. so far, trump is dominating the polls...especially after that big endorsement from sarah palin. she's joining trump on the road. and meantime, more and more prominent republicans are turning their back on ted cruz. first it was iowa's governor, and now former republican presidential nominee bob dole. that's frustrating the texas senator.

ts - bleep? more tumbling :05 - :22 take a look-- a snowboarder escapes being buried alive during an avalanche! but christian mares can't celebrate too much, he's being investigated for trespassing. a california ski resort near lake tahoe contends mare triggered that avalanche... putting himself and others at risk. he could face charges, but, mares says he didn't know the area was closed. an action news update now on that deadly greyhound bus accident in california. state and federal investigators have ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors. but they're still looking into driver fatigue.

investigators he was tired and stopped for coffee just 30-miles before the accident. the crash yesterday in san jose killed two people, and hurt several others. traffic lights in part of the mountain's edge community have been dark for weeks, and people living there are fighting for them to be fixed. early last year, the traffic lights at buffalo and gomer... and buffalo and blue diamond were knocked down in car crashes. and they still haven't been fixed. it is right next to a very busy crosswalk 14 that does not have any signal or lights associated with it 20 so it is very dangerous to have that not lit up properly 24 we reached out to the developer... who says they've been trying to fix the lights, but they've been delayed. they say they're facing road blocks from insurance companies that should be giving them funding... as well as other construction projects. front after front continue to develop within the pacific northwest and track east/southeast. partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies will be common for southern nevada as a whole with

to the mountains and potentially red rock today. temperatures do fall slightly as compared to yesterday's high temperatures; we will hover in the upper 50s this afternoon but by tomorrow, temperatures rebound back to the low and potentially mid 60s. there is a discrepancy in our models for tomorrow afternoon in regards to another front passing overhead. most information points to energy build to the north of clark county; allowing for rain and snow, a couple models however, are pushing in a small rain chance through las vegas. there is not a lot of support to go with these two models but we will be monitoring the front none-the-less.

a new study found your fitness levels while you're younger may actually be more important than your weight...when it comes to your blood pressure. a new study out of sweden found overweight teens with low fitness levels were three times more likely to risk having high blood pressure later in life. researchers recommend kids should exercise 90-minutes a day. for the study, researchers followed a million-and-a-half men from their teens to middle-age. a lot of women going through menopause have hot flashes.

murder 2-months ago. police just announced 37-year- old michelle horn has been arrested. police say horn shot and killed a man at a home near flamingo and arville back in november. neighbors reported hearing an argument and gunshot days earlier. she's now facing one count of murder, and another for robbery with a deadly weapon. we're working to get a mugshot of the suspect. now to a story you'll see first on action news -- powerhouse actor will smith is weighing in on the controversial debate over the so called "white oscars." and he explains why he has chosen not to attend this year's event. abc's robin roberts has more.

breaking right now-- a verdict has been reached in the trial for otis holland. he's the local pastor charged of sexually assaulting women in his congregation. jurors found him guilty on all counts! that's 14-charges of sexual assault of a minor uner 16, and one-count of lewdness of minor. he pleaded not guilty last week, and even offered to take a polygraph to prove his innocence. holland's attorney say the accusers made up the stories because they're jealous of his relationships with other women. also breaking right now-- on the east coast, we've just and flights out of baltimore and philadelphia on saturday. it's all because of that massive snow hitting the east coast. several states already are under a state of emergency. the race for the white house is heating up right here in town. republican presidential candidate donald trump and democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton are hoping to drum up support.
