(john mcdonald/ witness) i really thought someone was grinding their gears. that's how mcdonald describes the noise he heard prior to the fire, then: (john mcdonald/ witness) i heard two pops. within seconds the entire inside of the cab was in flames. by the time he started taking the video, both driver and passenger were safely out. but mcdonald says not a safe distance away. this is gonna blow you've got to get her into the apartment building. with the taxi's horn blowing incessantly - nats and choking black smoke spewing above, mcdonald's next fear was the more than dozen cars parked within feet of the out of control blaze. (john mcdonald/ witness) could it get to the fuel line, would it get there that quickly? it didn't. response time from quincy fire was within minutes. and it took seconds to drown the flames. and mcdonald's elderly cab, who uses two canes to walk, made sure to give credit to her driver. more controversial comments from republican presidential candidate donald trump today. speaking to supporters during a rally in iowa today, trump said he could shoot someone and not lose votes. become increasingly convinced trump will be the nominee...also stating..."if he wins iowa, i think he runs the board." new information tonight. legionnaires' disease is the latest health issue linked to drinking water in flint, michigan. the city's mc-laren hospital says it found low levels of legionnaires bacteria in its water system. hospital administrators saw a spike in legionnaires cases after the city switched to a different water source...two years ago. the switch was also linked to an increase in lead levels in water, which created a citywide crisis. died. but a state health official says there's still no evidence the water source change-- caused the legionnaires' cases. the disease is a respiratory infection usually spread through mist. people who want to help

cope with the water crisis are flocking to gofundme. donors had given nearly 2-hundred thousand dollars. the money will go toward things like purchasing bottles of water, water filters and even bags of fresh fruit and vegetables. one account is even raising money to offset the costs incurred by the virginia tech researchers who first tested the water and found unsafe levels of lead. a developing story tonight premier solar solutions has announced that it's closing its henderson office and laying off 66 employees. the move comes after the public utilities commission decided to increase n-v energy bills for solar customers. solarcity and sunrun both say the decision is the reason they halted sales in nevada.. and laid-off more than 650 employees. coming up in tonight's financial focus.

acupuncture, chiropractic therapy and massage? effective or not -- and there's little scientific evidence -- a growing number of americans are seeking out these therapies. c-d-c researchers finding that in 2012, more than 8 percent of americans reported using a chiropractor ? nearly 7 percent said they looked to massage therapy? and about 2 percent trying acupuncture. the popularity of all three up, compared to ten years prior. but perhaps the biggest surprise? most people using any of these alternative therapies are willing to pay out of pocket , since insurance doesn't usually pick up the bill -- and when it does, it is usually only partially covered. are these treatments worth the money, covered or not? there's still not much strong science. the best approach, of course, is to talk with your doctor ? to see if a complementary therapy is safe for you. if you get a green light -- try it, and see if it's worth handing over your cash. with this medical minute, i'm karla barguiarena hospitals can be a scary place
