>> very nice, love the property. very cool. and i've never won. >> i never won anything there it. >> the parking is easy, too. i like that. the parking is free. >> we like free. if it's free, it's for me. >> yes, it's all local. >> for all of us. today. i'm dao vu. >> i'm shawn tempesta. good morning. >> coming up today on "the morning blend" meet a rising star in the world of country las vegas. >> sierra black was hand picked to sing at the route 91 festival and she brings her talents to our stage. did you resolve to be more productive in 2016? it's much easier said than done. >> producer mike today has more in getting you focused and on micah. >> because poor productivity in the office can have those negative consequences. that includes longer work days, while all soil pacing the

the busy tax season around the corner now is the time to get organized and laura stack aka the productivity pro joins us with ways you can improve your efficiency. good morning, laura. >> good morning. thanks for having me. >> thank you for joining us this morning and giving us the tips. what are the effects of poor workplace productivity? >> well, for the individual, it results in poor work life balance, just spending far too much time in the office. productivity in the workplace shows that workers spent two hours a day simply being disrupted. a third of them said that they had problems with office equipment, and only half of the people surveyed said that they felt productive during the day. it definitely is something that can help you improve your quality of life. >> not going to call out my station, but i will say i've had some printer issues lately. >> uh-uh.
9:02 am
resolve to improve this year? could be on the resolutions this >> absolutely. you know, people love to resolve to get organized. i think that's the biggest one that i hear. whether it's trying to get rid of some of the e-mails in the inbox or maybe getting all of the paper clutter under control, i think people need to do a clean sweep and spend time purging and shredding all of the documents that they no longer need, especially if they're in electronic version. i love the auto max 200, my favorite because you load your paper in, push a button and walk away. so it's highly efficient. if you want to just pick one thing to resolve to do this year, i would say to get organized. >> basically pushing a button. >> very simple. it's one of those things where you know it's not going to jam, and you're not going to have to sit there and feed it, and so that's one thing you can improve, anything where you got problems with office equipment like that you need to make sure
9:03 am
productive. so printers that are fast, laptops that don't die, phones that have all the latest devices. you can improve your productivity by improving some of the equipment problems. >> good tips right there getting us on track for 2016. i know tax season yet again, what are some of your top recommendations for those who struggle every year preparing for tax season? >> well, it's time. start now. many people just wait too long to get ready for tax season, so as soon as you have your w2s start gathering all the information you're going to need. make sure you have all the receipts, so start hunting down all of those mortgage payments and dental, medical, moving expenses, whatever you know you're going to need, and then spend time getting rid of the things that you don't. i don't think people purge enough, so shred anything that's older than seven years, because it's no longer required by the irs. and be careful not to throw it
9:04 am
confidential information. so use your shredder. don't throw it in the trash. that's where a lot of identity theft happens. that's the key, get started now and make sure you're prepared by the time april rolls around. >> you have a new book hitting the shelves soon. i can see it over there in the corner, called doing the right things right. thethe effective executive spends time. >> this is my second productivity book. i'm looking at how do leaders productively spend time so they are effective, and efficient, spending time right, meaning with the least amount of cost and time and effort. so they really function most productively at the intersection of both of those variables. >> and with that and more about improving productivity where can we go for more information? >> well, i'm at the productivitpro.com. you can always check fellows.com
9:05 am
it's also on sale, 35% off at staples.com. >> thank you, laura. we were talking off air, go broncos. >> go broncos. >> thank you so much this morning. improve your productivity at the workplace and get organized for tax season. for more information on to how check out the website right there on your screen. the productivity company.com, we'll have the tips on our website. bottom line, i'll be at my desk if you need me trying to get everything organized and prepared. >> oh, right. thank you some, micah. have you downloaded the new channel 13 "action news" app yet? >> it is so simple, easy to use. there is live streaming, video on demand, plus blazing fast radar. it's like greg bennett is in your hands. boom, slide to right, slide them left, you get stuff. it's cool. long. >> what a dream. "action news" app free in the

what exactly is laser hair therapy? >> laser hair therapy is where we use low level laser, and we are applying the laser energy directly to the hair follicle. stage. so we're increasing circulation and blood flow and it's going to stimulate the growth stage. >> and that's how that works? >> yes, we are regrowing back your own natural hair but in a none innovative, no pain way. >> how long does it take before someone might see hair follicles? >> okay. so with this what we're looking for with this type of treatment is for somebody that still has active hair follicles. and a lot of the time when there is no visible hair there in the area we're looking at there is still an active hair follicle. what you do is you come in to the clinic for an evaluation, takes about 30 minutes. we'll check your hair follicle activity with a pro scope magnifying camera that zooms into the hair follow kill. we'll be able to tell you yes or no you're a good candidate for
9:16 am
tell you if you have active hair follicles. if you do we're still able to regrow back that hair in that area where you still have the active hair follicles. >> and just because you might not have hair doesn't mean >> exactly. because a lot of people take a look and they're like i'm too far gone, or we get a lot of female patients about 65% of our patient base is actually female patients. which tend to lose their hair little bit later on in life because they're producing more testosterone and they'll take a look and wearing wigs, on or they're using extensions we can be further damaging to the hair and thinking there is no hope for them when if you came into the clinic and we can take a look at you, we'll be able to determine yes, we can still help you. and maybe we won't be able to, because not everybody has active hair follicles, but like i said you come into the clinic and we'll be able to tell you if you do. >> you let people know exactly? >> absolutely. >> now, how quickly can we see the results.
9:17 am
four to six weeks. typically patients are seeing a positive change in just the first few months. the earlier on you catch the hair loss, the faster you will receive results with it. >> and earlier you mentioned males and females. >> majority of females are coming in now, so we can treat males or females. age is not a factor. so males tend to loss their hair earlier in life, and middle age females loss their hair later on in life. it doesn't matter, as long as you have the active hair follicles. and the really nice part about this program is we have the convenience factor. just because you know a lot of people can't make it into the clinic, if they are coming in for a clinic treatment program they're coming once a week for 20 minute laser session. but some people can't commit to that. and we have portable devices now available, including the most popular is laser cap, where you
9:18 am
it's rechargeable. you wear it three times a week for 30 minutes. it's nice and convenient. you don't have to come into the clinic and you don't have to take time out of your busy lifestyle to actually regrow your hair back. >> basically you can get a treatment at home, just watching tv and letting that cap do the work for you. >> exactly. that's going to be the most popular device on the market. >> do you feel anything? >> you don't. so again, there's no side effects involved with this, and it is pain-free. so even though we say laser, it's a noninvasive laser. >> and you have a morning blend special, as well. what exactly is that? >> we're going to offer you that important evaluation to tell you if you're going to be a good candidate, absolutely free. you can come in, if you give us a call today, we'll do free evaluation, a free consultation with you and we'll do that free first clinical laser session just so you can see what laser hair therapy is like and test drive it. >> do you have people coming in and in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s? >> we have people of all ages
9:19 am
it's not always a natural process when it's causing hair loss, it could be medication that you were taking. could be stress that was causing it. we see people of all ages in the inconsider i can. >> and again, you mentioned just because you don't have hair maybe pain on the surface, and you perhaps bald doesn't mean you cannot get help. >> it doesn't mean you can't get help. so give us a call, and we can do that evaluation for you to see if you would be a good candidate for something like this. >> thank you so much. >> thank you for having me. >> laser med solutions offers a free consultation and evaluation in addition to a free first clinical laser session for anyone who calls and books a consult. it's today only. for more on the latest technology to control hair loss and stimulate new growth check out the website on your screen or call the number listed. >> thank you so much. each week the panda guys are offering you legal advice here on our show. and this week they're focusing

to gold coin in the bouillon industry, as well. >> nevada coin mart is the only former bank building that is on the return comer of jones and flamingo, that's 4,000 square feet that has six privacy windows, four privacy booths, one privacy room, all in one place. as you can see on the screen here, you know, when you come into nevada coin mart i am a gia graduate gemologist, that means this is what i went to school for, not just in the jewelry business for 30 years. when you come in i am a cash buyer of diamonds, rolexs, any type of jewelry, gold, silver and costume. >> and what about diamonds? >> diamonds the thing is this. most people try to look at it with one of those eyepieces and stuff like this. when you come into nevada coin mart i have two 55-inch monitors mounted on the wall, so everybody can see exactly what is going on when it comes to your diamond. and so i am a $9,000 microscope.
9:23 am
have a larger stone. i buy diamonds and i pay cash. >> absolutely. let's talk about coins and bouillon. this is something that you specialize in. what should we be considering when we're trying to decide what to purchase? >> well first you have to decide whether you want to invest or collect. >> okay. >> so if you're investing we have silver bars, things like that, that are strictly investment. we have collectible coins as you see, we have gold piece there from the 1800s. and those are collectibles that trade well above gold value. this is an example of some of the things we buy. we have from the low end, pennies, steel pennies. >> wow. >> we have -- we buy these by the bucket. we have silver certificates and other such things, collectible books, mint sets, foreign coins, foreign currency, casino chips

9:26 am
don't be fouled by second rate buyers. second right buyers only buy gold and silver. i'm a costume jewelry expert. i'm a gold expert. i am a jewelry expert, and a silver expert. and so when could into nevada coin mart you can see right here it's a big store with signs on staff security. when you want the industry leader you come to nevada coin mart. >> what are your hours? >> open 9:00 to 5:00 every single day. we are never not there. you know, we don't close early for some days because we just have nowhere to go, we're just -- you know what i'm saying? nine to five, 365 days a year, open every single solitary day. big store on the corner, jones and flamingo right next to the ampm. you can't miss it. if you go somewhere else, you will get less money. it is a fact. >> wow. really quickly, glaziers you still have the deal. >> absolutely. it's the best supermarket in las vegas.

9:31 am
>> and obviously it's popular. >> exactly. >> where is this and how big, because it seems -- how big is the place? >> we're on the -- on the boulevard mall, the corner of 20 and maryland parkway. we took half of the former dillard's department store. and we seat over a thousand plus a large game room. >> is incredibly always on site? >> he's all on site friday, saturday and sunny today. he comes out every hour on the hour. we have a dance area, and some of the staff come with him, and he does a boogie dance, and everybody gathers around and claps. >> incridi bear has some moves. pretty cool. seriously. i'm crazy about playing games. >> we have almost every kind of arcade game you could think of.

maybe they have inherited a property from a homeowner who had a pass away or it's a rental property that is unwanted. >> sometimes you inherit that type of home that this has not been updated in 50 years. what am i going to do, this is going to cost me a ridiculous amount of money to fix and put back on the market. we could give that to you, you could give us cash for that home and you do what with it? >> typically what i do is i do one of two things. i will fix the home up and keep it in my long-term rental portfolio or fix it up put it back on the market for resale to a home buyer. and it's really a win-win situation for everyone. i like to work with these home sellers because i get to help them out of a bad situation. >> these are for people that not necessarily your typical home sale, but in the sense of you want to either get out of it fast or it's just way beyond your reach to be able to fix it. we give it to you and you do your magic. >> that's right. >> does the seller pay a real estate commission on this?
9:37 am
real estate commissions. >> okay. >> i also pay ordinary seller closing costs at close of escrow. this is an as is transaction. so you know we're helping sellers who may not have the funds to obviously repair these properties. and so there is no fix ups, there is no repairs to be done, it's as is, and i'll come in and purchase the home and help the homeowner make an easy transition out of the property. >> you're the one getting your hands dirty. >> that's right. >> which is a lot better than me. how fast can this happen? let's say we have a property, we just want to get it off our hands. how soon can we get it done? >> i purchased homes as quickly as three days before with cash. >> no kidding. wow. and have the cash thing and not have to wait for escrow and all the things that can tie up something of a sale of this magnitude. if you try to get a mortgage they're going to say you have to fix this, this and this before we put our name to it. >> that's right.
9:38 am
unwilling to buy a home like this. it's necessary to sell to a cash buyer like myself because we're the only ones who can afford to buy those and do the repairs. when a home buyer can't get the loan on there and they can't afford possibly the fix up costs. >> let's say we're in this situation right now we're wondering whether or not our home is worthy or unworthy enough for you to take off our hands. how do we find out? >> well, it's really simple. i have a three step process. give my office a call for 24-hour no obligation cash offer. and what we'll do is take a look at the property, evaluate it, step two is we come to an agreeable purchase price. we sign a purchase agreement, step three we go to title and closing, a third party title company and you'll get your cash profits at close of escrow. we want to make it as smooth a transition for the homeowner as possible. a lot of homeowners are in a situation where they're in a rush. they need -- they don't have time.
9:39 am
the property very quickly. so those are the homeowners we help. >> awesome. i know you have a radio show where you answer not just questions regarding homes of this magnitude but any home in any situation that you see out there. tell us about the radio show. >> the radio show we talk about all things real estate. whether it's buying homes for cash, or fixing up homes or how to sell homes for top dollar, or buy homes, that's what the radio show is really about. website. at lathe lavada.com. you can access the recorded shows any time you like. >> it's very convenient, you don't have to listen at a certain time. >> that's right. >> people can ask questions from there. i know they can contact your office and ask questions, as well. how do they do. >> so give our office a a 70247620000 and i have someone standing by to take those calls, and setup times to come down and talk to me about selling your home for cash or whatever you would like to do with the property. >> all right.
