the suspect is in life threatening condition right now. if he does survive, he could be facing a long list of charges, including vehicle homicide, and d-u-i. now to an update on a story we first brought you as it was breaking-- officers open fire on a suspect... after the man crashes a stolen car. here's video from moments after the crash. it was sent to us from a worker at the 7-11 on pecos and bonanza. metro says after the suspect crashed the car, he ran to a nearby neighborhood. that's when they say he pointed a gun at an officer... and cops opened fire. chopper 13 was first over the scene.. the shooting happened right in front of a home. he was on the 711 and jumped to my back yard and then jumped to the next backyard. (butted with) are you feeling lucky? yes i guess i am because it was right in front of my house, so at least the bullet didn't go inside the window. the suspect treated for minor injuries.
