the day will drive those warmer temperatures, so highs will likely be later in the afternoon into the early evening. temperatures fall like a rock sunday as that system pushes in from the west. thick cloud cover will cap temperatures in the mid 50s for sunday with rain starting around noon and continuing into the overnight hours. all told expect about 12 hours worth of steady rain to fall in the las vegas valley with models saying anywhere from 0.15" to 0.75" for las vegas. i'd expect something closer to 0.2"-0.3" of rain for the las vegas valley with isolated pockets mostly in the foothills of local mountains seeing more. snow levels will initially start relatively high, with only the higher terrain of mt. charleston and the sheep range getting snow but snow levels will fall quickly once the rain departs.
