metro helped out to surround the driver and arrest him n-h-p troopers are trying to figure out what caused a driver to lose control and crash head on into another car. take a look at the aftermath of the crash on the 215 near aliante last night. you can see both of the cars died. n-h-p says this portion of the highway is under construction. the speed limit is only 45.. it's too soon to know if that was a factor. a third car was also involved. but the man and woman in that car are expected to be okay. valley-vm right now... a murder suspect is on the run. he's wanted for shooting and killing a man in henderson. this all happened yesterday near green valley parkway and warm springs. police say they responded to 'shots fired' and found someone dead. the 26-year old victim died at the scene. police tell action news they are following up on all leads to find a possible suspect. anyone with information is asked to call henderson police. time now for a new chapter in

want warmer weather... the country's most famous groundhog didn't see his shadow... which means an early spring! pennsylvania's most famous groundhog, punxsutawney phil, came out of his burrow today... a german legend has it that if a furry rodent sees his shadow on feb. 2nd, winter will last another six weeks. if not, spring comes early. and now all eyes are on "mojave max." the desert tortoise is our version of "punxataaey phil".. and when he comes out of his burrow at the red rock conservation area, it marks the unofficial start of spring!

experiment on human embryos. this marks the first time a country's national regulator has approved the research. the researchers won't be they'll be working to better understand human development. they hope to improve fertility treatments and prevent miscarriages. none of the embryos will be traferred into women..they will be destroyed after 7 days. the legal blood alcohol level might be going down in an attempt to reduce alcohol-related accidents. that's what the national transportation safety board is pushing for. in the last 15-years, one-third of all highway deaths involved alcohol. they're asking states to lower their legal limit from point-zero- eight to point-zero-five. for a man who is 1-hundred and 80 pounds... he would be above the limit after two and a half drinks...instead of four. for a woman at the same weight it would take two drinks.
