world, and will always produce tough diplomacy. this was actually day two of clinton's visit to nevada. yesterday, he was in las vegas. new developments on that deadly crane collapse in new york. crews are still working to remove the wreckage that was left behind. we have learned they will cut it into about 35 pieces for investigators to examine. cell phone video captured the moment the more than 50-story boom came crashing down yesterday. it hit parked cars.....and sent debris flying everywhere. investigators have recovered the crane's movement recording computer. rick chandler / commissioner, new york city dept. of buildings "it's not the equivalent of a black box. // it will likely give us the angle of the boom? of the two pieces that were in action. if it gives us more than that, it's an extra. i don't want to set expectations too high: it's not gonna give wind speeds or actions of the operator." a 38-year-old wall street worker died.

the coroner identified the son killed yesterday as 22-year-old devry moore now the question is - why did this happen! metro says moore was fighting with either his father or his stepfather at a home near cimarron and mountain's edge parkway. at some point, the teen stabbed the man 4 times. and then, the man shot and killed the boy. that man is at u-m-c. metro is considering filing criminal charges against him. now, investigators are talking to family members who were there during the fight. they are trying to get to the bottom of all this. an action news update on another deadly shooting-- the coroner just identified the man shot and killed in a parking lot. he's 27-year-old steven spurlin. police are hoping this new information will lead them to

the shooting happened near rainbow and westcliff. witnesses tell 13 action news a nissan pulled up....spurlun rolled out of the car.....and then another man fired six shots at him before he could even stand. a family who has already been through so much, is it hit hard again. their father passed away suddenly, and now they are turning to you, our viewers, for help. you may remember alyssa mowery. she survived being hit by a car. thursday night, we learned her father suddenly died in his sleep. now, alyssa's mom says she has been struggling...trying to come to terms with his death. 22:57:20 she has moments of clarity where she realizes he's gone and not coming back but she has short-term momory loss so she keeps forgetting so it's almost worse for her i would think because she's learning about it and realizing it and accepting it over and over and over and over again. their family is now struggling to pay his funeral costs. they've set up a "gofundme

if you would like to donate, we have the link posted on our website, k-t- n-v dot com. uber is making its mark in las vegas... the company hosted an event today on the north side of town. they are trying to reverse some of the flack they are getting from the taxi industry..... and showing locals that uber can transorm their neighborhood. 13 action news reporter michael burton joins us live from the doolittle center... where uber officials were met with a packed house. that's right, yasmeen. the room was packed with aspiring uber drivers and current drivers, who agree this is one of many neighborhoods neglected by the taxi-cab industry. i'm told this an area has many transportation issues that uber could help solve. "before uber came to las vegas 95 percent of trips started or ended on the strip or the airport. that means the locals were underserved. the 2.1 million individuals that live in clark county were underserved and didn't have options."

drivers protesting at the event - but they probably would have been drowned out. dozens gathered to hear success stories from local uber drivers - and learn how to sign up. uber officials and politicians also celebrated the obstacles they've overcome. like convincing lawmakers to pass legislation that would allow the company to operate in nevada without the same rules that taxi's face. drivers say there is still some resentment from the taxi industry, but a lot less than before. "it was kind of rough at the beginning. it was, you know? a lot of negativity. anything new is a problem first. but, i've noticed in the last month or two, a lot of the properties have welcomed us." based on some of the stories i heard today - uber is changing lives in las vegas. coming up later tonight - hear from a couple of drivers who's stories will definitly inspire.

from 2006 to 20-14,the fbi says 71 people in las vegas were shot to death by a spouse, ex-spouse or a dating partner. last june, governor brian sandoval signed a bill, banning anyone convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from possessing a gun. it also prohibits people from buying a gun if they have been court-ordered to stay away from an estranged partner. nevada is actually one of 13 states with these kinds of laws. troubles unfolding at an ivy league school-- the president of a fraternity at cornell university is now facing some serious charges. is behind bars...charged with attemped rape. he's the president of the school's psy upsilon chapter the alleged incident happened last month,.. ....but ballinger turned himself just days ago. the fraternity has been suspended from the university. we are being told they are cooperating with the investigation. a special event, bringing the community out to an unlikely location, all to raise awareness about being heart
