new jersey governor chris christie has just dropped out. he came in a disappointing sixth place in the new hampshire primary yesterday. his annoucement comes just hours after fellow g-o-p formally ended her bid. she initially gained some momentum last fall..following that first g-o-p debate. but then her support began to slip in the polls.

you as it was breaking-- a man says a fight over rent turned deadly... police are still trying to track down the killer. only on 13 action news, we're hearing what happened from a witness! the shooting happened yesterday near desert inn and mcleod. friends identify the victim as mike guinn. they say it started when a woman who used to live there, but stopped paying rent.. came back to get her stuff. at some point, a man with her opened fire. but the animal didn't get there on its own... it was tossed straight through the drive-thru! the man responsible is joshua james, and he was just released from jail on bond. here's what he had to say to media once freed-- "we thought we would pull a prank on our buddy who worked at wendy's and just throw it through the drive-thru window" (butted with) "yeah, i mean i'm sorry for what i did. i mean, you know, just being stupid, not thinking and obviously i found out what the consequences were." james says it was just a prank. but the judge isn't taking it lightly. james has been ordered to stay out of all wendy's, avoid contact with any animals, undergo a mental health evaluation and he can't possess any weapons. he's back in court next month. here at home -- the search is on for a couple of package

we've told you before the defective airbags can explode violently without warning. they have caused at nine deaths in the u-s. mercedes owners will be notified by the company if their vehicle is under recall. and also because of these faulty airbags, volkswagen is recalling 680- thousand vehicles. the recall includes several models made between 2006 and 2014. volkswagen plans to notify all owners of affected vehicles about the recall. the struggling retail giant sears says it plans to close at least 50 of its quote most "unprofitable" stores. the retailer originally planned to shut the stores over the next few months. but poor holiday sales have sears speeding up its timeline. the good news -- no stores here in the valley are affected!. a workout at the gym ends with one man missing his car, credit cards and more! the victim played detective, and found out who he thinks is the suspect. now he's turning to 13 action news to finish the investigation! plus this brutal attack caught

attack caught on camera.who fell to the ground. this all happened in fresno, california, and now the video is going viral. the video may be hard for some people to watch. here's corin hoggard.. < brutality rose to new heights in the middle of the afternoon at the university inn. at least one camera was recording as a teenage girl stomped on another in the parking lot. a hotel employee told me she called the police, but by the time officers got there, everyone was gone. police say there's a call to that address, but no report. witnesses are hesitant to talk publicly about what they saw. but one of them tells me the girl who inflicted the most damage had a heavy hand, a

shortly after a shooting in southeast fresno last july, police arrested her then 14-year-old brother on attempted murder charges. the case is about to go to trial and witnesses to the fight say she seemed to believe the other girl snitched on her brother. i shared the video with police, who tell me there is a clear assault, but without a victim to contact, they say it's tough to investigate. > the victim says she went down to the ground, when the other girl used the taser on her. shdoesn't believe the attack was related to the attempted murder case. a man is searching for a thief... after his car and wallet were stolen while he was at the gym. he's done his own digging...to the point of even finding out who's responsible. but he needs your help tracking the guy down. albert rodriguez says the theft happened saturday night. he got surveillance video from planet fitness, and he believes this man seen going inside in regular clothes is the culprit.
