up at this point. take vo swat as out here close to 12 hours for a man they eventually they went took the guy into custody but before they could do that hge stabbed bit him severtake sot leron lotts, can't go home 17:56:39-17:56:45 "we heard these big bangs. like bang bang bang out here charges at least for stabbing the canine near maryland parkway and desert inn parker collins 13 action news. and as parker said - a metro k-9 officer was stabbed mutliple times near the head during that stand-off. metro posted this picture of nicky - asking for prayers. the dog was in surgery all afternoon and officers say it is now in stable condition. they say k-9's are vital to their success - and an injury like this could take one off the streets - permanently. at this time they are unsure when nicky will return to work.

an action news update... police in glendale, arizona are investigating a double.. fatal shooting at independence high school. both victims are 15 year old students.. each shot once in an isolated area of the campus. police say they're not looking for a gunman.. and that no other students were in danger. new this afternoon.... we have an update on the condition of the man and teen shot during a home invasion early wednesday morning. 14 year old janeen hindon is now off a ventilator, and breathing on her own. our crews talked with the

the palo verde high school student is alert, and even posting on facebook. but her mother's fiance.. stephen picardi is not doing as well as they'd hoped. he's still on life support. and is scheduled to have another surgery on his leg today. there are some fresh flowers at the memorial for unlv men's basketball coach jerry tarkanian today yesterday marked one year since his death. tark the shark led the running rebels to an ncaa basketball championship in 1990. he battled several health issues before he passed away at age 84. now to a developing story about a clark country school district teacher... the former c-c-s-d teacher is serving time for inappropriately touching his students... and now we're learning there could be more victims out there. recently two parents filed a federal lawsuit against the district, claiming they didn't do enough to protect their children from jeremiah mazo... who was a music teacher at hayden elementary school. since that story made the news, their attorneys say it's sparked a movement. according to the lawsuit, mazo was a teacher at simmons elementary until 2008, when he

molesting students. the charges were dropped, but the parents are upset that instead of firing mazo... he was transferred to hayden elementary school, which is where he met their children. the legal troubles for the bundy family are far from over... the family's patriarch cliven is now facing 6 charges from his standoff with the fbi in bunkerville in 20- 14. these are sketches from his time in court yesterday. he was arrested in portland wednesday night. he never participated in the protest, but he's considered the figurehead of the whole movement. we spoke with his daughter in law, who says the government is out to get him. "cliven is a big threat to the federal government and their agendas because he is educated and he speaks his mind and he stands up for his rights." briana bundy cliven's daughter-in-law 10 secs if bundy is convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison. his sons ammon and ryan are also behind bars. no word on when any of them will be released. a somber anniversary today... it has been one year since

performs here in las vegas, was rushed back to the hospital today due to complications from oral surgery. posts on the iconic crooner's website and official social media pages confirmed the news, a couple of concerts in other cities had to be postponed. the curtains closed for the final time at bally's last night. jubilee, the longest running show on the strip held its final performance. the show had been running for more than 34 years. bally's is thinking about opening a new showgirl production, but nothing has been announced yet. a k-9 is being hailed a hero after helping find and save a missing woman. the dog did it alongside a connecticut state trooper. they were looking for caroline boudle. she was last seen walking near her home in tolland... the search began in a five mile radius from that area... as officials were worried about cold temperatures and her medical condition. trooper anthony christy and his k-9 partner axle hopped on the case. about five hours after boudle went missing, he spotted some footprints in the snow just off of route 30.
