bail has been set for the hit and run driver who killed a 2 year old girl last weekend. daniel garcia-martinez was arrested yesterday in the death of evelyn green. 13 action news reporter david schuman is live at her growing memorial with what neighbors are saying about the arrest. the tragic crash happened almost a week ago and this memorial to evelyn green is still going strong. daniel garcia-martinez is charged with a felony for not stopping at the scene of a fatal accident and his bail is one million dollars. evelyn green was a 2 year old playing in the street last sunday when garcia martinez reportedly hit and killed her in a white windowless van. greens mother vicki told 13 action news he pulled over smelling of alcohol and left before police got there. garcia martinez's neighbors say he's a good guy who was caught in the wrong place at the wrong

drinker. many of the greens are in california right now, including both of evelyn's parents. they're preparing for their toddlers funeral which is set to be in los angeles on saturdaye..david schuman 13 action news. new information tonight on a bad crash that happened last night near vegas a cimarron. a 19 year old woman is in critical condition and a 26-year-old man is in serious condition after their motorcycle slammed into the side of an suv. both were thrown from the bike. the driver and passenger inside the s-u-v were not hurt. a developing story tonight one person is dead after a homicide on the valley's northwest side. metro says reports of a shooting came in around 11 thirty last night, near lake mead and rancho. when officers got there, they found a man shot to death inside of a car. no word yet on a motive or a suspect. right now, the search is on for two suspects after a home invasion on west atlantic street in henderson.

inside the home was shot. he was taken to sunrise hospital and is in critical condition. 3 kids were also home at the time. thankfully they were not hurt. authorities say it does not look like this was a random home invasion. they are trying to find a man and a woman right now. the man is described as having short blonde hair, possibly shaved. nevada department of corrections says an inmate has died. this is mark clewis. he was serving a life sentence at lovelock correctional center for grand larceny. the 65-year-old died at reno hospital last night. an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. las vegas fire and rescue crews responded to two separate fires last night. investigators say both happened inside vacant buildings. the first fire happened at a home near rainbow and alexander. the second one was inside a vacant apartment building downtown - near mesquite and stewart. people were seen taking off right after the fires started.

squatters were living there. no one was injured in either fire. a 13 action news update now on a metro k-9 officer. hundreds of people turned out today for cupid's undie run the one mile fun run featured runners in their undies and other costumes. it's all to raise awareness an fund research of neuro-fibro-matosis through the children's tumor foundation. jeff leibow daughter has neurofibromatosis 03:57:01:10-03:57:13:08 "it's a really silly event, but it's great to see people coming out and supporting something like neurofibromatosis that has no cure, no treatment. so we're here and it means a lot to have all these people come out." the cupid's undie run is the world's largest undie run. it takes place in 36 cities across the united states. last year cupid's raised over $3.5 million dollars. this year's saint baldrick's lepre-con, was such a huge hit, it set a world record for the largest gathering of leprechauns. more than 14-hundred people got togethor to raise money for childhood cancer research.

ireland in 2012. to kick-off the event, 9 year-old hallie driscoll shaved her head. her sister is currently fighting brain cancer. there was also a 5-k run-walk, a kids' activity corner and musical performances. proceeds help support childhood cancer research. football season isn't quite over yet - at least not here the valley. the "buddy bowl" took place today at the henderson international school. the flag football tournmanet includes both physically challenged and able- bodied participants. proceeds go to help military personnel and their families. the buddy bowl provides members of the u.s. armed forces and the local civilian community an opportunity to interact and compete for a worthy cause coming up... we all want to eat healthy....but food labels can be confusing. we'll show you how to read them.....and what you need to look out, for next time you go
