republican presidential candidate donald trump has been socrching the campaign trail with a number of new controversial remarks. it's leaving some to wonder if he thinks george w. bush should have been impeached.. and would he really nominate his sister to the u-s supreme court? 13 action news anchor todd quinones has this week's fact check.. from politifact. republican frontrunner donald trump is finding himself in the crosshairs of his own party @ 00 - 10 ((i think bush is probably the worst president in the history of the united states. it just seems like she (pelosi) was really going to look to impeach bush and get him out of office which personally i think would have been a wonderful thing)) the ad is getting lots of talk in south carolina.. an area known as bush country. @ 1:01:26 ((at politifact we do this a lot and what we find is sometimes those clips are kind of spliced together to make things sound like they aren't really what they sound like. but in this case, he said it)) trump has since quieted his impeachment talk.. but politifact rating this ad's claim as... true.
6:36 pm
court justice antonin scalia.. people are asking who will fill the void. ted cruz says donaldtrump wouldn't look far.. claiming trump would appoint his sister who is a federal judge. @ 4:43 ((the one person he has suggested that would make a good justice is his sister who is a court of appeals judge appointed by bill clinton. she is a hardcore, pro-abortion liberal judge)) politifact found trump spoke highly of his sister in an august interview but just this week said she would not be the right person for scalia's seat. ((he was basically saying she'd be good at it but i don't think that's going to happen and he's named a couple folks that he would consider for the bench)) nepotism claims as... mostly false all the way until election day in november.. we are teaming up with politifact.. the nation's leading political fact checking group.. holding politicians accountable for the things they say. i'm todd quinones.. we'll see you next week for fact check
