"im sorry we're not gonna see what she could have been.....cries" "i wasn't there but i just can't help but believe that it was an accident." 26-year old kalli medina-brown's body was discovered by hotel and casino staff early sunday morning. her grandfather says detectives told medina-brown's mother, video from inside "the d" shows the 26-year old walking one way while her husband walked the other way. he says the video shows medina- brown walking into the maid's closet. that's when he says the video goes dark the couple was in town from northern california. an update on breaking news from overnight... police investigating a homicide near nellis air force base.

midday... about some rough weather around the globe... the death toll from cyclone winston in fiji is rising... at least 29 people have died since the storm hit. people there are still dealing with wide spread damage. a state of emergency is in effect for 30 days as a major cleanup gets underway. schools there are still closed all week. there are many people without water or a roof over their heads this midday. and here's a look at the history- making cyclone before and after it made landfall. this is a satellite photo of tropical cyclone winston- from space- on the day it hit eastern fiji. the fiji meteorological service estimated wind gusts near winston's center over 200 mph. officials had to close a 12-mile stretch of highway in honolulu because of these giant waves. some brought big rocks up onto

only emergency vehicles, city buses, and residents are allowed to drive on the road.. people who work at the beach say this is the biggest swell they've seen in a decade. some major damage to a 100- year-old bridge in iowa... all thanks to some major ice jams. an ice jam upstream of the des moines river in fraser...rammed a kink into the bridge. ice jams form in bends in shallow areas of rivers. large pieces of ice stick together on the river...creating a dam of ice. and like dams... ice jams keep water back. once they break free with warmer temperatures... like this one... they come crashing downstream...with lots of water and ice. in texas... they're dealing with hail. a cold front is making its way through the long star state... bringing heavy rains and thunderstorms with it. high winds and hail have been reported as well across south texas.

lanes. i've got one unresponsive in the car, but still breathing. the road re-opened around 2:30 this morning. we're still waiting for more information about the accident right now... a cirque du soleil performer is recovering. the performer was injured during a dress rehearsal of the show "love" last night. the show had to be canceled. these pictures were taken right after the artist was hurt. witnesses say the person was walking across the stage and fell into a hole. "cirque du soleil" tells 13 action news... the performer is in stable condition. the school district may cncel the annual 5th grade civil war re- enactment in boulder city. people there are upset with the clark county school district. and later today the community will have a chance to talk about the event. there will be a community input meeting at 3 p-m at martha p city "it is a rite of passage.

was inside when the house blew up... or what caused the blast. but neighbors say it caused their homes to shake as well. a developing story out of michigan... the uber driver accused of going on a killing spree in kalamazoo michigan is behind bars this midday. he's charged with both murder and assault among other things. prosecutors say it seems all of his victims were targeted randomly. jason brian dalton was arrested on sunday after police say he killed six people over a seven hour span on saturday night. dalton was driving for uber during the spree and prosecutors say he picked up passengers between the attacks! this attack is scaring students at western michigan university...right near where the attacks happened. why is it that we did the bare minimum for setting up a system to protect our students. it was something that easily could have easily affected this entire campus we didn't get a hey stay safe, stay inside, lock your doors dont' come out. students are wondering why no one ever told them what was

police say it's because the incident didn't happen on campus. a very scary situation for them...knowing that guy was on the run. there's still no motive for the shootings. an oklahoma man is lucky to be alive. he stepped into his home, but quickly moved back when he smelled gas. moments later, that home exploded.
