valley. < it was a terrifying situation overnight as bullets rang out in one neighborhood near owens and lamb. this happened around 2 in the morning. not only were vehicles no one has been arrested in this case. police are looking for the person who did this. in the newsroom, pc, 13 an. > 13 action news reporter parker collins talks with the mother. that emotional interview plus all the gunfire recorded on police scanner traffic, are coming up on later editions of 13 action news. new developments on that deadly workplace shooting that ended the lives of 3-people. we're learning more about the man who pulled the trigger, and what happened. police identify him as 38-year-old cedric ford. right now, they think the motive appears domestic. they say ford was served a restraining order from his ex- girlfriend, just 90-minutes before the first gunshots. they say ford was armed with an assault rifle and a handgun.

other drivers in two separate locations, and then drove to his office. ford during a shootout with a sheriff's deputy. (sheriff t. walton/harvey county, ks) "that particular officer is the hero out of all this. understand, there was probably two or three hundred more people in that building while this was going on. this man was not going to stop shooting. the only reason that he stopped shooting is because that officer stopped the shooter." nearly 150 employees escaped the building... swat teams. one of ford's friends actually called 9-1-1. but listen to his chilling description of ford during the shooting. matt jarrell/gunman's friend: he looked happy, (reporter: happy?) yeah, he looked like.. he hopped out almost like a smile on his face just (sound effects) into the building (reporter: that's disturbing) yeah very-- a picture i'm never going to get out of my head for the rest of my life. 14-people are hurt. two are still in the hospital.

lengthy criminal past. right now, metro is investigating three shootings that happened just hours apart. in the latest one, someone drove up to a man walking down the street.. opened fire.. if the man was targeted.. of the shooting was random, they don't know what the shooter looks like yet.. and the victim could only describe the car as light- colored. the victim is expected to recover. then another shooting happened outside a boys and girls club. one person was shot at the metro is still looking into what led to the gunfire. no word on if anyone has been arrested. and the first shooting was at twain and boulder highway. police say the property manager and his wife were checking on the home, when they heard someone was inside. then metro says the manager possible burglar. the shooting remains under investigation. the 215 southbound near i-15 is

unsafe in her own apartment. when she watched her security cameras, she saw this-- a maintenance worker digging around her bed, lifting things up and even smelling something from between the sheets. then in this second video, the man even tries moving around the camera! the man was supposed to be there changing a light in the kitchen! the woman says . "i think everyone should have security cameras now," "now i am paranoid, it's not a good feeling." rental advocates say what this man is doing is clearly a violation of privacy. when the woman told the apartment complex's management, they investigated the incident/. that worker has been fired. a man is behind bars, because police say he posed as a student for months...even making the honor roll. this is "asher potts." authorities say he's actually

breaking news on yesterday's deadly workplace shooting in kansas-- the victims have just been identified -- they are 30-year-old renee benjamin, 31-year-old joshua higbee, and 44-year-old brian sadowsky, the gunman, cedric ford, is also dead. 14 others are hurt. police say they think ford went on the rampage, after ford was served a restraining order meant to keep him away from his ex-girlfriend. an all-out brawl breaks out at a high school. fists flying between multiple teens! one parent is fighting back, angry her son was suspended. but, her son wasn't fighting... he was the one behind the camera, recording the video! gilbert baez talks with the school and that teen. < it was a free-for-all.

capturing every frame. this is footage from deanthonie taylor's cell phone. pine forest high school ) "it was just, like, a brawl at the school at the fish pond, and it was just crazy." you can see taylor making his way through the crowd. he started taking pictures of ricky o'briant -- the safe school coordinator. that's him pinning a girl on the ground. o'briant ordered taylor to stop recording. ( deanthonie taylor / student at pine forest high school ) "i didn't even hear him. he pointed at me and said something, and i didn't hear what he said, and then he came up and grabbed my phone." this video, shot by another student, shows o'briant doing more than away, but the 15-year-old jumps at o'briant, who grabs him by his shirt and tosses him to the ground. ( sonya taylor / deanthonie's mother ) "i cry. i still cry when i see it, and i get upset." his mother is outraged and wants action taken against o'briant, but her son was suspended for breaking rules about video taping incidents like this on campus. my job, because i was at work at the time, that my son had the principal says the video is just a snapshot of a much larger incident. 14th street and odgen, but ended at a siegel suites. neighbors tell 13 action news they heard as many as 15 gunshots, and they say a black s-u-v leaving the scene. no arrests have been made. breaking news on that double shooting in glendale, arizona..that ended the lives of two teen girls. police are now recommending charges against the student who gave the gun to that shooter. officers say those girls died in a murder-suicide. one girl shot her girlfriend, and then took her own life. both victims' families say they don't want to prosecute that student. updates now on a couple of breaking news: it took a while.. but a man who was threatening to jump from a parking structure at the 'd' hotel in downtown las vegas.. finally came down without incident. metro crisis negotiators were on the scene talking with him for 9- hours. and.. a man and toddler are recovering after being hit by a car near charleston and lamb. metro believes the driver was drunk and speeding when he hit the father and 18- month old girl.
