this is a live look at the busy interchange. 13-action news anchor jessica janner has more on what you need if you travel through that area. nats las vegas locals have all heard of project neon... but did you know this construction is already part of the project? nats this week crews are making trenches for utilities on mlk. construction work will happen in the overnight hours from 9 until about 5 in the morning. it starts tonight on mlk near wall street. then friday they'll do work on charleston at grand central parkway. "we're really kind of testing the soil along the route to see what we will need to do to beef up the substructure, you know, checking for utilities that type of thing." -- tony illia, nevada dept of transportation the million dollar project spearheaded by the nevada department of transportation the heavy lifting starts on the 15 itself. of the valley...52 to 56 on the east side. southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. new at six.. it's been 13 years since the moulin rouge hotel burned to the ground. but tonight.. plans are in the works for something amazing to rise from the ashes.. in the form of a new moulin rouge hotel and casino. 13 action news reporter marissa kynaston tells us how developers hope it will help revitalize the westside. take vo the moulin rouge hotel is just rubble now-- but the five hundred million dollar project will change that. the original moulin rouge hotel was the first desegregated hotel and casino-- and was popular with many african american entertainers. developers want to pay tribute to the history of the hotel-- while still making it fresh and modern. they hope the hotel can have a positive change in the westside.

deputies arrested kirk barnes.. who they say sent 4 messages over social media to a 13-year old girl. and.. in one photo.. they say he was naked. barnes is behind bars tonight. police have arrested this man in connection to a deadly shooting at a weekend party in dowegas. according to police.. terrell moore got in an argument with two people.. then pulled a gun and shot them. both were rushed to umc where one died. the other is expected to be okay. moore is now charged with murder and amrder. metro is trying to wrap up... a homicide investigation.... but officers need your help.... finding the vehicle missing! that vehicle is a black 19-90's volkswagen jetta... with gold rims. it has the arizona license plte... b-m-e 4708. already... two suspects are in le say... colton brantano and sherri esquibel turned themselves in friday... for the murder of a young father. that deadly shooting was near las vegas boulevard and craig.
