perhaps there is a little bit of a silver lining. >> let's point out, he did get like two net delegates out of minnesota. >> we're not talking about the delegates. >> but if it was for the hillary camp, who would the dems like to see run against that they could completely crush? which of the candidates would you think? >> you hear her campaign say it's totally excited to run against donald trump. and take the example this week. kkk scuffle, the david duke example. they want to see that front and center. i think you've started to see a little bit of it from hillary. >> we're going to continue to torture these guys. >> we're going to be right back. we're going to ask the team actually what they learned most from super tuesday that surprised them. stick with us. >> going to hang out for a little bit? >> you know it.

going to walk away with a goose egg, a big old round number that is zero of delegates out of these states. this is an a-level campaign. they know how it works and they were expressing we're going to eat into cruz's lead and rack up delegates everywhere. he was confident even talking to george stephanopoulos tonight. he's going to get delegates just about everywhere. >> what doesn't resonate with voters are? >> his attacks, the kind of childish. >> the small hands. >> and spray tan and all that, that is backfired. it reduced him in size literally as donald trump said that little marco rubio. he was reduced in the minds of voters. and it may have backfired. >> that means he didn't get 20% of the vote. >> that was the threshold. they knew this. this was not a surprise and they didn't get it. >> one of the most surprising things that happened right before super tuesday, when we learned that bernie sanders raised $42 million in february alone. that's more money than marco rubio raised in his entire campaign. what's also surprising is that bernie sanders, who likes to

doesn't really like to talk about money, was talking about it tonight at his campaign event. >> it doesn't get him any further. with jeb, he had a lot of money but didn't really help him in the end. >> he says he's going to go to the convention. he says he's going to go to the convention in june that has a bounty of delegates. he has the money to go there. >> we were watching you typing away during the abc coverage last night during primetime coverage. what shocked you as you were there feverishly working? > i got to tell you, one of the most fascinating things to me is the most important quality voters say they want to see in a candidate is that the candidate shares their values. where does donald trump fall in that? he is the worst rated candidate in all the states last night -- in fact, in every state, i think, in the candidate that sharesmy values. so what is going on here? how can you win when the republicans don't think you share his values? it's because there are two other qualities that trump, no pun intended, and that is brings change to washington and actually tells it like it is. those are his qualities.

one exit poll his proposal to ban noncitizen muslims from entering the country supported by 69% of republicans. >> no one talked about this till donald trump. it's like the republican party didn't know what they wanted till trump arrived and started talking about these things. to have two-thirds of them on the same page is remarkable. >> one of the interesting things of the night was a lot of people were talking about chris christie. >> there was that look. we got a shot of it. trending on twitter. >> #freechrischristie. >> was he bored standing behind there or -- >> what was the deal with that? >> i find them the most unlikely allies. what happened to this romance? >> i think it's just utter shock at what's happening even at this moment. >> in front of his eyes. >> we want to thank you guys. incredible political powerhouse. thank you for all you do for abc especially in the late night. >> thanks for being here. >> super wednesday, everybody. especially in the late night. >> super wednesday, everybody. so we use k-y ultragel. it enhances my body's natural moisture

all right. you know, millions of americans cast their votes as we mentioned on tuesday for the person they want to move into the white house next january. >> and while a dozen states came out to have their voices heard on super tuesday, the candidates had plenty to say themselves. >> all across our country today, democrats voted to break down barriers so we can all rise together. and we know we've got work to do. but that work, that work is not to make america great again. america never stopped being great. >> what i have said is that this campaign is not just about electing a president. it is about making a political revolution. when we bring our people together, when we do not allow the donald trumps of the world to divide us up. >> this has been an amazing
4:25 am
already we've won five major states, and it looks like we could win six or seven or eight or nine. they say the loser of the night was marco rubio, and it's true. he didn't win anything. he hasn't won. i mean, at least you can say that ted has won something. you know, marco has not won. >> you see, just five days ago, we began to unmask the true nature of the front-runners so far in this race. five days ago, we began to explain to the american people that donald trump is a con artist. >> we can nominate a washington dealmaker, profane and vulgar, who has a lifelong pattern of using government power for personal gain. we are the only campaign that has beaten donald trump once, twice, three times.
4:26 am
i was going with three times a lady. >> i know you were. >> not quite. >> it was an interesting night. also to see the exit polls showing that republicans really are looking for change and democrats kind of want a political insider. >> somebody who has experience and you saw that was reflected in the vote on super tuesday. it's going to be interesting to see what happens next. of course, we have michigan coming up in a week and then florida and ohio following. > looking forward to it. >> that's the news for this half hour.
