the state.. after we told you about a young boy who was left outside in the blazing heat last month for more than 90 minutes. but today.... we got a hold on public records... and found out.... the school has had issues before! 13 action news anchor.... lesley marin is live.... from southern highlands... with new details about what prompted.... the closure. lesley tricia-steve kidz kidz kidz was shut down a week after we originally aired this story. this location....would normally be buzzing with parents picking now...no one. tonight..we're getting new detail..into what the state found out...when they went inside the school this video still hard to watch for many parents! watch as this boy is left alone..outside...in triple digit heat a little more than two weeks ago! not one teacher notices.. until an hour and a half

we spoke to the family of the boy in the video -- 20 month old kayden..the day after this in this summary of the suspension-- the state found at least six violations against kidz kidz kidz on july 21st -- preschool..did not have an approved director at the school at the time. i don't think they did this maliciously but they are a state agency and they need to be held accountable.. the report also points out people at the preschool failed to notify parents of what happened -- in a timely manner. the call didn't come until.. 43 minutes after kayden was found! it's probably the worst with as a parent.. the family is currently filing a law suit against the school. as the state continues to determine if when they'll be fit to re open. the school were originally set to have their first hearing with the state..tomorrow.

immediately. one of the three tennessee girls who fell from a ferris wheel at a county fair remains in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury. the 6-year old was in the seat with her 10-year-old sister and a teenager. the older girls are both in stable condition. police say they have not been able to confirm reports that the seat was rocking before it flipped over. a texas mother..... who traveled to el-salvador while pregnant and contracted "zika".... gave birth to a baby who died.... a short time later. microcephaly... a condition believed to be strongly linked.... to "the zika virus". it's the first zika-related death.... in texas. search teams have recovered the voyage data recorder from the cargo ship.. el faro.. which sank last october during hurricane joaquin. 33 crew members died in the tragedy. the national transportation safety board says the recorder could reveal navigation and communications data that will help investigators determine why the ship went down.

news reporter bryan callahan with some fresh details in the case. bryan. police say arthur lopez called 911 and told the dispatcher "i killed my wife"... before hanging up. officers initially went to the my wife"... before hanging up. officers initially went to the four hours later "erlinda penaflor's roommate came home to find her dead inthe living room. the roommate told detectives that "penaflor" recently filed for divorce from "arthur lopez....while he was living in arizona. he also told officers "lopez" had shown up at the house unannounced the day before... and that "penaflor" had a friend stay with her because she was afraid of lopez. detectives say they found a bloody metal pipe in the trash can. when the detective reviewed the 911 recording -- is when he heard lopez say "i killed my wife." bryan callahan, 13 action news. some incredible surveillance

where some grocery store employees stopped a robbery attempt. two men.. including one with a pistol.. came in and demanded cash. that's when the employees charged at the robbers and physically dragged them outside. but it didn't stop there. the employees tackled one suspect and held him down until police got there. the other suspect hit one of the workers with the gun and took off. a bill passed in 20-15 may split up question now -- is how to make it work. and there's a line in a suggested regulation proposal -- that has a lot of ccsd employees worried about their jobs. 13 action news reporter michael burton explains what's happening. that's right, we're talking about the custodians - bus drivers - cafeteria works - security guards. ccsd calls them support staff - and they're backed by the education support employees association. inside their main office here, you'll find several union members working to make sure

time is running out. changes are coming to ccsd and the members of the e-s- e-a want everyone to know. today - they decided phone calls aren't enough - so the president of the union reached out to 13 action news to extend her reach. lawmakers have alrady passed the bill - but they're still finalizing regulations one how to enforce it one. one regulation states that a local school precinct is not required to purchase equipment, services and supplies from the school district. the president of esea says support staff members fall she believes the provision implies that the district can hire support staff through private contractors, threatening the jobs of the current support staff hired by ccsd.
