to keep your child... safe. gina? while many school districts around the country are asking themselves....what can we do better to keep our kids safer t. captain ken young says it's a little bit of a different story here at c-c-s- d. it won't be long until the hallways are buzzing with children once again. that means parents are putting their trust in the hands of the staff at school to keep their kids safe. are the locks on the doors functioning properly? are there enough cameras on each school campus? what about security with emergencies? "we watch for trends throughout the year. we talk with the staff at the school as well as we talk amongst ourselves to see how we can improve, what we can do differently, if we are seeing any trends" so i wanted to know--- like captain young mentions -- what is being done differently than the 2014-2015 school year. me: "so are you doing things differently? new things?" him: "there are some new things that we will be doing.

we are always working with our other law enforcement partners" during my 8 minute and 45 second interview with captain young -- i tried to learn about some specific measures being taken.... but captain young refused to go into details while discussing certain security measures.....saying that c-c-s-d already has state of the art technology. he was able to tell me there will be a bigger focus on traffic safety this year as school police officers partner with other local law enforcement agencies. in tylenol..... and other popular.... over-the-counter medications. the study says... it's safe for pregnant women.... but.... should be taken only.... when necessary. a couple weeks ago.... it was the un-lucky seven. tonight... it's the crazy eight! valley restaurants have kept health inspectors... busy. and that means... darcy spears has a lot... to talk about. it's a new record this week.... with -8- restaurants... on "dirty dining". < the restaurant claiming it's been voted best asian food in the usa--is the worst in sout demerits this week. dirty dining repeat offender wo fat on desert inn and sandhill tops the not-so-elite eight list with a 38- demerit c grade. 1:15 darcy: why so many demerits? why so much trouble in the kitchen with the health district? angela dong: uh, you know, it's in the back door have like a sewer. inspectors did find sewage flowing from the grease interceptor out back.

dirty floor sinks, and water pooling in front of the toilet and under shelves in the employee restroom. 7:44 darcy stand-up in alley: this right here is what the health district calls improper disposal of liquid waste. clearly that's an imminent health hazard and still a violation that's actively occurring back here behind the restaurant. you can see all the water on the ground. that is not good. we're in an alleyway that's actually lined with rat traps, so clearly there are a lot of issues that are still not being addressed. in the kitchen, inspectors also fou spoiled lettuce and bean curd that was two weeks expired. manager angela dong says she can't answer questions due to a language barrier. 2:17 darcy: spoiled food. do you understand spoiled food? shelf life. and the cutting board was really dirty and stained with old food and debris.
