new details tonight -- after a dog mauls a child in the east valley. the victim -- eventually dying from his wounds. contact 13 investigative reporter -- stephanie zepelin -- speaks with neighbors about the gruesome attack. thursday morning, animal control euthanized a pit bull the attacked happened wednesday evening, and the boy died at the hospital. family told 13 action news he was just nine years-old. neighbors who did not want to be identified said the boy was going door- to-door, knocking, trying to find other kids to play with. one woman said just 30 minutes after he knocked on their door, she saw an ambulance, police, and animal control outside. and other neighbors say they've seen the same dog act out before.....we'll explain on action news live at six. soc. breakng right now.
