we've been telling you that parts of the i-15 were shut down due to the blue cut fire.. but we want to remind you, it's back open in both directions at cajon pass. here's a live look at 15 near primm. the blue cut fire is still burning, it's only 22 percent contained... but that's an improvement from yesterday. firefighters have gained some control over the wildfire burning in san bernardino county, californi tuesday. right now...the fire has burned 56 square miles..... some residents who were forced out only had minutes to pack what little they could.... nats - lisa gregory, little creek 20:01:25 there were a lot of things up there that we weren't able to pack that we absolutely no control - there is nothing you can do. the san bernardino county sheriff's department said that evacuation orders east of the freeway were lifted.

"erika poremski" had just quickly stepped out to her car in the 68-hundred block of gough street sunday night when she turned back to find her house engulfed in flames. she could hear her eight-month-old daughter viviana inside. couldn't get to her and i tried in...kicking the windows out...and it was just...i couldn't..no one could." firefighters got into the house quickly... and came back out with "viviana"... and an incredible story. they said that they found erika's dog polo in the room with the baby...and he was covering her with his body. a six-week-old kitten has a new home.... after surviving an 80 mile journey under the hood of a car. kelly hawthorne drove from clinton, missouri back home to shawnee, kansas on sunday. she heard meowing.... popped the hood and discovered the kitten... who ran off. later on the family went out to eat and on the drive home... realized the cat was back under the hood! hawthorne said it appears the kitten really wanted to be a part of the family.
