school district seems to have had a change of heart. melissa contacted me to tell me a "higher up" within the transportation department called her and moved her kids' bus stop permanently. they were assigned to a bus stop this year that had them crossing a busy henderson thoroughfair. now, after our story, their bus stop is on the same side of the street as their home. the district told us that bus was full and so they could not mover her children, but she says in her phone call today, investigation on who spoke to her. breaking news- riverside county 500 acre "bogart" fire evacuation orders for people in banning bench and cherry valley one structure destroyed dozens of homes threatened

meantime... trump's son is adamant.. the presidentail nominee is not getting soft on immigration. democrats believe they can re-take control of the house in november.. and say their path to victory runs through nevada. but part of it hinges on the campaigns of jacky rosen and ruben kihuen in two las vegas-area districts. action news anchor todd quiones and politifact take a look at some of their recent claims. jacky rosen....a former henderson synagogue republican groups for allegedly flip-flopping on support for the iran nuclear deal, who said.. "realizing how detrimental her position could be to her election prospects, rosen reversed course and said she would have opposed it." politifact looked into rosen's past statements on the deal... and found she went from essentially nuetral to full-throated opposition. live@0:05

ralston: "you wouldn't have?" rosen: "no, i don't think i would have." it's a close call, but rosen's position did change slightly over time leading politifact to rate this as a.....half flip. fellow democrat ruben kihuen making waves by claiming his republican opponent cresent hardy voted to defund a program protecting millions from deportation. key-when said... "in congress, he voted to defund daca. he voted to get rid of the daca program." politifact says it's not that clear cut. hardy broke party ranks to vote against an amendment stripping the program of funding last ye but voted for the bill itself because it funded the department of homeland security. hardy was also one of a few dozen republicans to join democrats in passing a "clean" version of the funding bill without any immigration-related amendments. so is kihuen right? hardy's voting record is mixed, but he's generally voted in favor of funding the program. politifact rates this claim....half true.
