losing hair? trying everything you can to bring it back? regrow back your own natural hair with no pain and no side effects. it's possible, according to our next guest. here with more is lindsay kay from laser med solutions. so explain laser hair therapy. it sounds like something out of some sort of november of novel but it works. >> there is no pain and absolutely no side effects. and what we're doing is using low level laser to actually heal the hair for kill and regrow back your own natural hair. >> how is this working? >> so we're applying laser energy directly to the hair follicle, and this is stimulating that growth stage. we are increasing circulation and blood flow back to the scalp. and we are going to stimulate
9:20 am
done and how they came about this, and they tested it on wraths and realized the rats were growing at rows. how is it possible? >> the nice part about it, it is your own natural hair. you're able to be treated whether you're mail or female, doesn't matter your age. what we check for is actually active hair follicles. and a lot of the time when you don't have any visible hair there in that area, you still have an active hair follicle and we can still help. whatever the blockage is that -- to clear. >> correct. everybody's severity will be different. that's something we have to check in clinic with an evaluation. but you come in, we'll check to see if you still have active hair follicles, and we'll let you know how long it will take you to get the best results. >> how long does it take to get the results. >> the laser starts to take effect in four to six weeks and typically our patients are seeing the positive change in the first few months.
9:21 am
severity of hair loss, so that's something we can address in clinic with that evaluation for you. >> we're taking a look at before and afters, and it's remarkable. the one thing especially that one, my goodness, i mean -- >> of course. and that patient right there did get better results than what was expected because you can see the severity when he first came in, and you would take an initial look and think wow, we cannot help this person. they have no active hair follicles, so sometimes you may think you are too far gone when that's not the the most part is coming into the clinic so we can address it. >> who is a good candidate for this? when it comes to hair loss, when you see medication it's generally only for men. >> yes. now, this is something where we can of course, treat males. but we can treat females with this, which is exciting because females don't have a lot of options. it's very traumatic for a female
9:22 am
so as soon as you notice any type of hair loss or hair fall out, you definitely went to do something about it, because the sooner you catch it, the better of a result we can get you with this. >> so i know that there is no inpay. do you feel like a warming sensation or anything? >> it's a cold -- there is no heat actually coming from it. but there is going to be no pain, no heat. it's nice and easy for you and again no side effects. so it doesn't really matter your medical history. if you're on certain medications, if you have certain health concerns, we can still treat you with this treatment. most people are going to be a good candidate. >> we're taking a look at the machine that you use in-house. this is not one of those, you know, 700-dollar buy at home situations. >> no. no. we have in clinic treatment programs, and we have home treatment programs, so it really depends on, you know, your lifestyle and what's convenient for you. and a lot of patients nowadays
9:23 am
in their own home. >> so there is really options out there. if people want to take advantage you have a special offer. >> we do have a special offer. you need to call us today. if you give us a call today we'll do the evaluation and consultation for free. so you can come in, takes about half an hour. we'll check to see if you have active hair follicles and if we can treat you and help you with laser hair therapy. >> it's a lot cheaper than getting surgery. >> a lot cheaper, certainly. with it. and you're not -- you aren't going to cause any side effects. so again, it's pain-free for you. come in, we'll see if we can help you. >> there we go. bring your work there, bring your laptop, go under the lamp. great having you. laser med solutions, they offer a free consultation and evaluation, in addition to a free first clinical laser session for anyone who calls and books a consult today only though. you got to call now. for more information on the latest technology to control

size 8. >> yeah. yeah. >> that's a lot of new clothes. >> and like there it is -- that's me. that tiny head on a really big body. a lot of people do, but unfortunate thing is they gain it back. and so the five metabolic factors that we work with help to correct that problem so not only do you lose the weight but keep it off. today we're going the talk about one of those in specific, which is the toxicity. >> and it's not canada, it's -- >> it's candida. >> what is that? >> basically it's a yeast. it's also a fungus. the problem is a lot of times when it gets into the body, we're do things on a daily basis that make it overgrow. >> you're feeding it. >> yes. you can feed it several ways. you can do it with prescription drugs, with birth control. the biggest culprit is the
9:29 am
carbohydrates. the candida likes to eat that stuff. >> i'm feeling guilty about the pasta. >> that's right. >> it's not even -- it's in everything. >> yes. >> ketchup, in things that -- >> 80% of the food on your grocery store shelves. >> it's almost impossible to avoid. >> a lot of times people will notice they're changing their diet, becoming more active and seeing little if any weight they lose comes back. one of the first steps you might want to do is see if you have the yeast or not, and the good news is we have a simple way to test it at home. >> tell us how we test it. >> really simple at home test where first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything delicately collect saliva and put it in a clear cup.
9:30 am
if you have the yeast -- yeah, if you have the yeast it's going to start spiraling down into the water and you're going to see that white, and that means you're positive for candida. >> how many seconds or minutes does it take? >> only 60 satisfieds. that was one of my clients. she came in and showed us a picture and said it just started flooding down into the glass. >> do you know how many people are infected with it? >> we probably look at -- probably at least a third of them. >> >> a third of them. >> and men included, unfortunately. it's not just women suffering. probably one in three test positive for candida. and they're always the ones that say i have a hard time resisting certain food, i have cravings, i can't stop eating these thing, especially late at night. and sure enough they got that yeast. >> the craving for sugar -- >> that is one of the markers. >> you get the data. now what?
9:31 am
what we would want you to do is come in to us. let us do an evaluation, see if any of the other factors are testing positive for you. and let's help get you on the path where you can lose three to seven pounds per week without being hungry or craving and get the toxin out of you. it has a whole host of other problem, as well, because it's a toxin. >> it's a toxin, is it also just representing there is an imbalance in your system? or what you -- >> yeah, it indicates you have a toxicity if we're identifying one positive toxin, that is easy to test with a home test, we probably know you got a buildup of knocks innot only in your fat cells but also in your live. the liver is the only oregon that can burn body fat. if it can't do its job, even if you are working out or cutting calories, the liver is not in a position to help you. >> reminds me, and you'll appreciate this, popping the hood of your car. you got to take care of your
9:32 am
>> and so many programs want to take care of the chechen gin chn light. >> normally it costs $50 to do the evaluation. >> how do we book that? dr. nash.com or call my office and the numbers are hitting you on the screen so that i don't have to say it hopefully. >> in five, four, boom. >> bam, there it is. >> i called for it. >> i love having you on because i think it's so interesting to talk about weight loss in terms of these symptoms, instead of just about the -- >> calories in, calories out. >> almost never that. you know, so 95% of people fail using that method, meaning they
9:33 am
so if it was calories in, calories out, we would see much less obesity in our country, but instead it's at a record high. there has to be something else happening in our country that is causing us to experience the problems. the transformations we see are unbelievable. >> are they total transformation? >> they are total transformation. >> you're looking deeper and i appreciate that. >> great having you always. >> thanks forking me. >> don't forget if you mention that you saw dr. nash on "the morning blend consultation fee will go down to $19. great deal. dr. nash's office is located on horizon ridge parkway near valley in henderson. for more information give her office a call or visit her website. she can help you lose three to seven pounds per week with no hungry or cravings. >> love that. up next on "the morning blend," do your part to help put an end to cancer. >> a couple shows to tell you about as we go to break.

9:38 am
and children ten and under are free, and then you know, we have strollers, and pets are welcome at the event. >> very cool. a lot of different activities. >> yes. we have a drawing, so really cool prizes to win. so tickets start at $1 for that. you have a good chance to win, and you know, you're supporting a great cause and also you know helping out the cancer of southern nevada. >> no question. >> can we move on to a more serious topic. ovarian cancer, this has affected many people, and it's a serious issue. tell us about the symptoms of ovarian cancer, because people aren't always aware when they have it. >> one of the many horrible things about ovarian cancer is that once you have symptoms usually you're at a advanced stage. >> one of those things that doesn't rear its head until the end.
9:39 am
like your belly is fuller than normal. you can't eat as much food. diarrhea, and those things could be due to lots of different things, so makes it confusing and difficult. >> is there a screening that we can just go in, do a quick -- say how -- >> yeah, unfortunately there's not. there's no agreed upon testing or screening that you can do. there are some things we can offer to see if or there is something we need to investigate further, ultrasound, some blood work, some of the stuff we can do that is helpful is genetic screening we can do if you have a family history that is strong. there is some approved genetic screening we can see if you're a higher risk in the future. >> and in terms of risk factors, the risk factors are -- >> there are younger ovarian cancers that can occur but in generally we think of older, so
9:40 am
we're going to be more concerned when they get menopause. you know, if you've never had a baby before that puts you at a higher risk. other things could be -- >> isn't that interesting? there are several health benefits to having a baby. >> right. fertility, if you have lots of fertility work up you can have a higher risk. >> very interesting. i assume when it's caught it's almost stumbled upon. >> yes. if we were doing a pelvic ultrasound for on some other reason and we felt s concerning we could go in and do more testing. >> once you find it what are the treatments? >> so usually we go in, take out uterus, tubes, ovaries, and then most option they have chemotherapy to follow that up. >> all right. so how do we reduce our chances of getting the disease? i mean, that's -- >> just like not having a baby makes your risk higher. if you have children, that can decrease your risk.
9:41 am
>> there we go. find someone, get pregnant. >> taking birth control pills is helpful. when you -- >> it's helpful? >> uh-huh. >> which is interesting. why is that? >> i think it's probably the same idea as having a baby. you're not ovulating. if you're having a baby you're not ovulating. that's what i think. >> this event is helping to put the spotlight on this. where is it and how can we take part? >> it's at unl stadium 8:30 saturday. and registration starts at 7:30. come in early, get registered and we'll see you there. >> and it's a family event. >> for sure. yes. there was strollers, bring your leashed pets. >> you can bring your dogs. >> it's great having you. thank you so much. >> thank you. >> again, this one is for the boys and girls charity run walk,

>> today the very special show because your mother is in the studio. >> yes, she is. mama, love you mama. and let me tell you that we're doing an event. it is tremendous. now, i do a lot of business with the k jewel and the cool 102 radio station. i can't think them enough. we've done a lot of events at the store. live radio remote, and everything. we teamed up with the cannery doing th night, one of the premier sponsors. it's going to be tremendous. a lot of people are coming out. and here is the best part about it. when you walk around, there are some different things that you can do there that it's not only for one genre of people. you know, there is cars, and there's things, and you can walk around, and everybody that i met from the cannery, we had somebody on the other week.
9:47 am
anything that they can do to make it a more pleasurable experience. so we want everyone to go to the can eerie tomorrow night. it's going to be tremendous. it's the summerfest. and it's in conjunction with myself, k jewel. there is other sponsors and the cannery casino. it's going to be a great show and everybody should go. here is the thing. you know, when you come to nevada coin mart in the store, we evaluate everything right then and there in front of you. there is no funny business. you know, i can't tell you how many times that the clients come in and they go to other places and they just get taken advantage of. now, for the past three weeks, we have dumped things like this. >> here we go. here it comes. >> and so the question is, now i had a lady call me from iowa. and she wanted to sell me 100 pounds of costume jewelry. here is the thing. >> from iowa? >> yes.
9:48 am
>> there is nobody on the planet that buys costume jewelry, okay? let me just say that. neil sackmary, nevada coin mart, buys costume jewelry. but i buy it based on the collector value and by the pound. what happens is you take your jewelry to somebody else, the gold buyer, right? and he's only interested in gold. he might be in business for 30 or 35 years, but he knows gold. he'll say this is worthless. what happens is it's not, because it's worth pound. >> no kidding. >> so it does have value, and the only way to know is to bring it in to nevada coin mart, on the return comer of jones and flamingo, open 365 days a year. >> almost as many episodes as you've been on the blend. >> this is very true. you can see that's two of my three 55-inch monitors. people come in and they're amazed, because they see what it is that we're talking about. and it's very important.
9:49 am
sausage is made. you're seeing your diamond on the big screen. you're seeing the price of gold, the spot price of gold. that moment on the big screen. >> yes. >> it's an experience. >> you project people's items up on the big screen. >> yes. and shawn did a test and he went in there a second time on the 21st. and it's going to -- >> wow. >> here is the thing. repeat customers is why we're in business. we want good so that they know they're getting the very best price, they know they don't have to shop their item around. i'm the only place in all of las vegas that will buy any type of jewelry, gold, silver, costume, any type of coins, paper currency, bills, foreign coins, collectibles, and the only two things i don't buy are guns and cars. if you have anything else that is reasonable that i can buy to make money, i want to buy it.
9:50 am
it, no. everything else, yes. >> i look at this pile of jewelry and looks a lot like something i have in a shoe box and i think this is not valuable. >> and that is why you got to bring it in. and i will tell you, that this next order of business as we always do on the blend, very successful, i must tell you, lady came in the other day, true story. you'll see it. when you come there. i was drinking the cup of coffee, and i got up and i came and brought my stuff. >> why is that, neil? >> because let me tell you. it is the hypnotic trance. >> oh, my goodness. >> and this is very important. i am speaking to you, so you have to get up, get out of bed, stop what you're doing, and come and see neil sackmary. see what everyone is talking about, because when you go to
