9:02 am
love with elvis as a young teen-ager. i have always had a thing for elvis. i would be screaming my face off if i saw elvis presley. anyone where he's looking into the camera playing that guitar right to me, i mean, okay. love me tender came to mind because it's so pure. it's like it's guitar and voice. >> "love me tender" will be song. give me a blue suede shoes or viva las vegas. i think it was a rule when i moved here, i learned the whole thing and it's fantastic. >> i'd love to see that sometime. >> no you wouldn't. >> speaking of classic vegas entertainers, we saw a lot monday night at criss angel's benefit. >> mission to raise a million dollars to benefit pediatric

amazing event. we tried to air this yesterday. >> we did. we had a sound issue. if you know anything about astrology, mercury retro grade perhaps. >> we've worked out. one thing that was very clear is many of the people that showed up, most of the people who showed up were so proud of criss for stepping forward and making something beautiful out of something so difficult. hear what people had to say about him. >> every living person, that's what help stands for. criss angel, like jerry lewis, in 1954 started muscular dystrophy. i think criss will start something that's part of his destiny. i think he's going to help heal a lot of children. >> he's really a sweetheart. he's got this sort of image, the rock'n'roll, which is a
9:04 am
he's a magician, an illusionist, he's a showman. so he's got this sort of leather and studs and motorbikes motorbl the rest of it and he's a teddy bear. >> yes. >> isn't that nature's theme? that's true with so many of the tough guys. i spoke about some of the fighters. you're a big softy. >> yes. when you're going through tough times, you soften right up. >> that's an interesting perspective. twisted sister, dee snyder. >> f >> they were there in full force. and they actually worked on a video. they took the song "we're not gonna take it," it was like the rebellion song you drove around to in your car. they changed it to fit cancer. the video has gotten over 6 million views. it became really the song of the event. >> somehow the message of we're not gonna take it got lost. it's a karaoke favorite, a rocking jock favorite, but much more important message.
9:05 am
said he was doing this event. i said i may have a song for me. he called me back five minutes later. he said i have to have this song for my charity event. >> he performed that song on monday night. it was phenomenal. i know you caught up with criss as well as his son is really spurred the idea of help. >> yep. >> we'll take a look at what he said. he was really speechless. >> i'm just so imagine mike tyson here, jerry lewis, sigfried & roy. you have all these incredibly talented people that are legends. i pinch myself. i can't believe they're here, when i used to watch these people. i used to aspire to be like these people. now they're here supporting a cause that's so near and dear to my heart because of my child. but really not just because of my child, but because of all these children that suffer all over the world. we got to change it. we got to come together. one world, one people for children.

9:08 am
volunteers or works there has to have a disability themselves or has to have an arm's length relationship as a grandchild, a child, somebody so that when you get that call from someone saying oh, my gosh, this has happened, we know about it already because we've collectively have thousands and thousands of hours between all of us. >> wow! very interesting. you mentioned anti-bullying. but nevada pep actually supplies a lot of different services and you primarily. what are some of the specific services that you offer for people? >> usually when you have a child with a disability in the school district, you have what's called an i.e.p., that's an individualized education program. and so we go into the school. if need be, we advocate for the parents so that they know how to navigate through the system. we do work with the school district also. so it's not -- we don't go in and -- in the school district, a
9:09 am
so to kids with disabilities because they're easier targets. and so we try to go into the elementary schools. we have 22 title 1 schools that are coming to our anti-bullying walk. so we try to get in on the bottom, in the beginning to try to educate them and show them, this is not right. it's not acceptable. when you're on the opposite end of receiving bullying, it hurts and it changes your life. we even still talk to adults that still they still remember. it doesn't go away. >> oh, my goodness. don't get me started. fun fact about me, i left 7th grade a month early. my dad pulled me out of 7th grade a month early to avoid the bullying and it kind of toughened me going into eighth grade saying we're going to have to get awe tougher skin. >> wow. >> bullying still happens. i think we're more aware of it now. we're more aware of the long-term stuff that can happen. look how screwed up i am.
9:10 am
can nip it in the bud early is super important 'cause earlier you get it done, the better. >> and having a partnership with finley is so important to us because they believe in what we're doing and that is half the battle because they all have children and they know that we can make a difference and get better and make a change. >> it is so great. when i was young, i don't think the word bullying was used much. now it is very much part of our language. but it's good to remember too what it really and it's not just about the people who do get belayed. it's creating the awareness, which you're doing with this event, for everybody. don't bully and don't accept being belayed. >> yes. >> this event is for families. you can go to www.nvpep.org. and we're expecting great things. we've got chuck e. cheese coming. >> oh, yeah.

could get yourself an active dog. and oftentimes we think of breeds like labrador retrievers or golden retrievers or german shepherds, they tend to be great for participating in activities outdoors like running or hiking or camping. but dogs like little teariers, they can also have very high energy and they can have fun going out and spending time outdoors with us. you just need to make sure that you, of course, focus on hydration. of the time of year. these are from tractor supply. these are great because they're collapsible. you can take them with you. notice he's wearing a super cute little doggy backpack. it's cute because it's cute and also because it's very useful. you can actually put their water and food in there and they can carry that with them when they go with you. >> i love that you can find these on tractorsupply.com. >> those are fantastic 'cause you can fold them up and throw them in a bag.

dogs like this one who is a container terrier, and going into the stores gives you a nice opportunity to meet animals of all types and give them a test drive to find the appropriates one for your family. >> i'm just laughs 'cause niko is a very active little guy, isn't he? he's a perfect example. they think he's perfect for apts, which they can be. but they have needs with rga to their physical and mental energy. one of the ways i like to address that is food stuffable food choice. it's great like kong, so they can hunt for their food. another thing that i think people should consider is consider adopting an adult or senior dog because more often than not, they have a little bit more likelihood to be more mellow. they're oftentimes house trained. if you are choosing an adult or
9:18 am
carefully consider the food you choose for them. you want one specifically formulated for dogs at that age. because they have different needs than a puppy would have. >> i adore senior dogs. once we have adopt add dog and found a dog that is our right match, do you have any tips for bringing home a new pet? we want to get them accustomed to our house. sometimes there is that transition period. >> one of the most important things is that people get prepared in ad they get everything they need, the toys, the squeaky toys, the stuffable toys, really comfy bed. you can all that at tractor supply. make sure when you bring them home that you do your best not to let them run loose to begin with because they're likely to make mistake. start by letting them have access to one room at a time. carefully supervise them to set them up for success. >> words to the wise. yes, you want to get it started on the right foot.

dinner option made with organic ingredients in the freezer. that way it saves you money because waste is a wallet killer. and then you have like healthy fast food right there ready to choose anywhere you need to go. so then when it comes to the pantry, keep organic ingredients that have longevity. that way you can make meals in minutes with things like chicken broth, salsa, tomato sauce, canned beans. those you can work together for meals really quickly. >> you're making me hungry with everything that's in fronts of you. what do of you? >> yes. oh, my goodness, i love to create recipes with a lot of love and i came up with an arsenal of recipes for parents to use. i like to do what i call a cook once and kind of eat all week. so the first is an overnight oats if you ever tried this. this is mocha overnight oats, with a peanut butter swirl. our peanut is peanuts and sea salt. no other inbound greed cents. spread that on the bottom and
9:42 am
milk, i sweeten it with a kick of coffee. then in the morning you have breakfast ready for you. and then the morning you've got. [fast and it's good to go. you can even take that in the car. so then for lunch, my kids and i make this two or three times a week. it's called muffin tin meat loaf. i've only use six ingredients and i made it really easy and quick by using salsa. salsa simplifies. your tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, garlic, all in and so i used that and then i put them in a muffin tin because i found with my kids, making it one step more magical, they're more likely to eat it. the cool thing about these is that you can freeze them and eat them later or use them all week. and then finally for dinner, one pot penne. if you have a big family, doing things in one pot is wonderful. this you're going to saute' onions and garlic, add our grass fed ground peeve and salsa and chicken broth.
9:43 am

reason. what it is is it's responsible for the cell structure in our skin. over time, it degrades. when it degrades, that's why we get the bags and the wrinkles and everything else on our face. people will go and get collagen. but now they don't have to do that. those can be painful. you and i talked before we started the sect. we hate needles. and they can be expensive. this is topical. you rub it in, just like you saw richie do. it works in less than five minutes and completely takes it away. incredible. >> wow. this is going to be let's go back to richie and see where we are. i know we're doing real time on him. this is not altered. i was in the room for this. you can see after two minutes, it's already starting to go away. it's about a half reduced. everyone is affected differently. some people takes three minutes. some people four minutes. but no longer than ten minutes for it to work. it's really incredible. >> oh, my gosh. >> yeah. >> you can really start to see it. >> for the people on the

want to know if it works. i carry this piece of shale rock with me everywhere because this is where it's derived from. there are sill indicates in the formula derived from this shale rock like it that go into the formula. what happens is when you rub it on your under eye bag, again, or crow's feet, forehead lines, people use it for laugh lines. technically what's going on is that the molecules in the formula, once you rub them into your skin, they weave together and as it dries into your they actually make it really taut and make a smooth contour. that's technically what happens when you're rubbing it on of the it happens in minutes. >> whatever it is it's working. we have some before and after clips to show. >> basically this is just before they used the product and after. like i said, each person is different. that one right there is after ten minutes. it will take no longer than ten minutes. this person is up to three minutes. look at that. you look younger. you look better.

people that ask me this question all the time, how does it work with make-up, because most guys besides myself, don't wear make-up usually during the day. it's hard to cover these things up. as you know as a woman, women wear make-up all the time. sometimes trying to cover it up with make-up makes it worse. >> it does. >> under the eye because you add more layers and it just makes the creases look bigger. >> you can tuesday with your make-up and like i said, it affects guys even more than women because they don't wear the m you'll want to put this on a clean, dry face. wait ten minute, then use a moisturizer and put your make-up on right after that. >> yeah. >> so what about the guys now? we had a photo up of a guy. he had a great transition. it's amazing. >> incredible. and people have -- there it is. look at that. >> wow. >> that's completely gone. completely gone. another thing i want to mention, too, and i have this, something you can purchase when you call
9:51 am
the reason we suggest it is it has an oilless base. we want you to use a moisturizer that does not have oil in it. most do because that counteracts the effectiveness of plexaderm. so you're going to want the clean dry face, put the plexaderm on. wait ten minutes. put your oilless moisturizer on. then your make-up and you're ready to go. it lasts the whole day. >> that was my next question is how long does it last? >> there are products that advertise, they tell you we only last two to three hours. what good does that do? this is going six to eight hours. it's going to change your life. >> it really is amazing. can we check in with richie again? >> check in. >> wow! >> it's almost completely gone. i'd say it's about 80% gone. and believe it or not, it was funny when we asked him to do this. we said we're going to ask you -- he was all excited. he goes really? what do you want know do? we said we have this new product, we think you'd be a great candidate. we brought him in the room and as you can see -- but he smiled
