three people are recovering from shark bites. all of the victims were bitten near new smyrna beach.. it's not far from daytona beach. the sharks attacked all three victims while they were surfing. beachgoers say they saw more than one shark at the beach over the weekend. firefighters in california are battling this fire at vandenberg air force base. it's northwest of los angeles. the canyon fire has grown to 45-hundred acres. about 250 firefighters including hand-crews, aircraft are working to put out the fire. an air force official says the fire has forced them to delay a planned rocket launch. look at this light show! the national weather service counted 15 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes in a just two hours early this morning in san diego. the lightning may have caused several power outages around the area. let's go to 13 first alert
