investigators say 2 men posing as employees managed to get inside the main office of a grocery store. once inside...they began attacking an employee...punching him several times in the face. the other robber took money from a safe before taking off. a maryland middle school is now under fire.. because parents say leaders need to discipline more than a dozen students who were repeatedly chanting the n-word on the school bus. "one, two, three, four, how many (n- words) are in my store?" the student who recorded the video says she was extremely upset, and asked them to stop.

fire officials say the fire was smoking related -- it appears the guest fell asleep while smoking and the mattress caught on fire. the fire was quickly put out by fire sprinklers that were activated inside the room. three floors of the hotel were evacuated. no one was hurt. a state of emergency has been declared in puerto rico. this is after a substation fire apparently led to a collapse of the electric system. around 3 and a half million people live on the island and nearly all of them lost power at one point. the fire is now und and crews are working to restore power. they hope to have everything back online by tomorrow. record-setting rain has to lead to severe flooding in minnesota. this is near minneapolis. you can see a car nearly submerged in the water. emergency crews had to help several stranded drivers. up to 6 inches of rain fell in some parts of the state last night and more wet weather is on the way.
