carolina. what keith scott's wife was shouting just before officers opened fire. plus... neighbors struggling to recover after a massive fire tears through a strip mall...destroying several local businesses and...... the affects of yesterday's wild winds are still being felt here in the valley. but we begin with some breaking news... road and flipped...just outside houston, texas. right now 11 students and the driver have been rushed to the hospital. their injuries are not-life threatening...and they should be okay. officials say the bus swerved to avoid a car that was stalled in the road. as many as 50 students were trapped inside when rescue crews arrived. right now...a live look outside across the valley. the winds not nearly as intense as what we were dealing with yesterday afternoon. although...you can still see some of the damage.

three men who broke into her home. here you see the men kicking down her door-- guns already out. the woman wakes up and quickly their confrontation turns into a shootout. celinda haynes says her 2-year-old retriever mia is alway jumping on top of the counters and grabbing whatever she can find....and normally it's just food. celinda says she heard the dog grab something and went to check it out. that's when she saw her holding a knife in her mouth. take sot celinda haynes/ stabbed by her dog "..4 had it in her mouth literally like this and when i put the treats down this hand she went across to get her treats and slashed my arm. ." bleeding everywhere, celinda rushed to the hospital. when she told the nurses she was stabbed by her dog.. well you guessed it. no one believed her and they sent the police to investigate. by bodyguards...the two decided to take it outside where one of them began kicking his rival's car before scratching a message into the cars hood. not everyone who watches the first presidential debate on monday will be old enough to vote. we caught up with a championship high school debate team... to get their take on what needs to happen on stage: the fact of the matter is that if you look at the total numbers of refugees. debate is a really good way to judge how well you know about a it's necessary to look at it in terms of what is happening it has to be evidence based. it's an evidence based debate. you've gotta make sure that you're making your points i will be watching the debates. it is not particularly useful from a practice point of view. in order to really respond effectively to an argument you have to know what the argument is so you have to listen to your opponent in order to understand how the logic in their argument fails. if you watch the debates and you see anytime a candidate insult another candidate directly you get massive cheers from the crowd so in that sense

conveying information or responding to questions not so much. for hillary i would say be prepared for attacks because in her past debates she hasn't really been attacked in the same ad hominem sense that donald trump excels at. any attempts to sort of dodge questions will be pretty transparent. for donald trump i would say try to make yourself more personable and more relatable. because in the past he's come off as sort of a radial saying these wild things. and now if he can tone it down a little to court the moderate popa success with that. you really do need to watch out for just lapsing into any sort i hope it's a substantive debate. but i really just like if we can keep it down to the issues and what each candidate's gonna do for america. and not necessarily degrading the other candidate. do you think we're gonna see that? no, no i don't expect that at all. i'm sorry to say. right now we are working on all-new stories for 13 action
