senate race. 13 action news anchor todd quiones takes a look at some them in this week's 'politifact' fact check. a republican-leaning super pac is accusing democratic senate candidate catherine cortez masto of not dealing with the state's rape kit backlog during her time as the state's attorney general. thousands of rape kits were never sent for dna analysis." politifact took a look at her record....and there was a significant backlog at the end of her term general. but it's difficult to claim that cortez masto failed rape victims....because she made combating violence against women a priority and helped pass legislation expanding rape test kit availability. because more context is needed, politifact rates this ad......half true. the conservative-leaning libre initiative has a new ad accusing cortez masto of opposing an education program favored by hispanics. sot libre initiative @??
