philadelphia and newark... due to an ankle injury. maryland is helping south carolina's pet population... during hurricane matthew. yesterday....the humane society transported 57 dogs from an animal society in south carolina to its headquarters in maryland. the move came after an evacuation order went into effect around the hurricane. the dogs were transported using a big rig truck to make room for the animals of possible flood victims. the dogs had been up for but will soon be available for adoption in locations near washington d-c and elsewhere in the northeast. and... someone hung a huge banner from the manhattan bridge today of vladimir putin..with the words "peacemaker." it was draped on the brooklyn side of the bridge around 2-30 p-m.... the nypd's emergency service unit removed the 20 by 30 foot banner shortly after people called 911 reporting it.
