9:29 am
deal. the real deal is neil sackmary. >> that's you. >> when you come and see me, we are gonna look at anything that you have, especially the sterling silver turquoise, gold, silver and costume jewelry is tremendous. >> how is the market doing had it comes to precious metals and comes to the coins and bull on? >> it's tremendous. the market is volatile. some days it goes up, some days down. but the important thing is this, for the end consumer to get the mo they have into cash because to wait for the market to go up or down really is a minuscule part, an amount, generally speaking. 5, 10, $15. so the best thing you can do is never take a loan out, never take a title loan or anything like this, and to just sell what you have and turn that into money because then after it's sold, you don't owe anything after that. >> absolutely.
9:30 am
believing it has value. but you're telling me if i brought you this chunk of stuff and said hey, neil, will you take this? >> i will. and i'll buy it. we'll have a little party and it will be really a lot of fun. and let me say this to you. we've expanded nevada coin mart. i have the x-ray spectrometer at all the windows so that it's very easy to be seen. >> those are not expensive for you to get. >> monitoring, so nothing is not transparent. nevada coin mart, the number one jewelry buyer in las vegas is 100% transparent. now, it wouldn't be the "morning blend." as you know, we have not come up with a theme song yet. but it is in the works. i must tell you. hypnotic trance, it gets everyone very excited. here is where it gets very exciting. >> wait a minute. can i introduce you?
9:31 am
legends, neil sackmary. >> here is what i'm gonna say. i am talking to you. this is the hypnotic trance. so when you're looking at me right now, know that i'm speaking to you. i'm waving at you and i'm waiting for you to wave back at me when you're in front of my face in my store. stop what you're doing, take the last bite of the coffee or the tea, maybe it's willie wonka chocolate factory. it doesn't make a difference. the important thing is this: to stop what you're doing and come and see neil sackmary immediately. >> neil, i love you. great having you as always. wave good-bye. >> the turtle says hello. nevada coin mart gives awe big return on what you don't want anymore. you sell $200 worth of stuff, you'll receive a $200 gift card to glazer's. that's where i go. if you want more information on nevada coin mart, visit their location. you can also visit them on thank

9:39 am
good morning. >> good morning. >> i am so glad you're here. we've been talking almost every day on the show about breast cancer or breast cancer awareness. i'm wearing a pink pin today. there is lots of people raising money. what's it all about this month? what's the goal? >> i think the goal is to really raise awareness of breast health issues and provide education. definitely focus on early detection and the that are available out there for women. >> absolutely. so speaking of early detection, tell us about the programs you have at southwest medical. >> at southwest medical we offer mammogram screening at most of our health centers. we have 30 health centers throughout the las vegas valley. and most of them do offer mammogram services. we also now have our medicine on the move mobile unit where we have digital mammography available on that.
9:40 am
event where a medicine on the move is there, or it's on site at your place of employment, we do offer mammography there for -- >> you can get a mammogram on the bus? >> yes. >> how great. you said digital mammography. >> yes. >> so is this a different machine than i have experienced? >> it's the -- >> a lot of providers are going digital, which really -- what's really nice is your mammogram can be a quickly than it was in the past. >> i like quickly. >> yes. so you still get that little bit of discomfort with the squeezing and the squishing that we don't like, but it's not as long-term as it was in the past. so the technology is more advanced now. it makes it more comfortable for us. >> okay. comfortable is good. i know mammograms have come a long way. i remember my mother telling me about them in earlier decades. they weren't as comfortable. let's talk about the recommendations.
9:41 am
recommendations for mammograms? >> there is some confusion about the recommendations over the last year or so. at southwest medical, we're recommending yearly mammograms for women 40 and over. and so also we want every adult woman to do a breast self-exam monthly. so important because women know their bodies better than anyone else does. a lot of times that's where your cancer picks up is very early by the woman herself. so that's women over 40 should get a clinical breast exam annually by their provider. and women 20 to 39 should have that done every three years. so remind me because i have been taught by doctors on several occasions how to give a self breast exam. i'm pretty in touch with my body. i'm pretty aware. i'm always concerned about finding a lump. what are the signs and symptoms of breast cancer? >> well, one of the things you want to do first is look at your
9:42 am
do you see anything differently? is there anything different about the nipples? are you seeing any discharge? do you feel a lump? is the lump on the breast? is it under the armpit? are you feeling any breast pain? is there any redness, any unusual swelling? do you see any dimpling of the skin? kind of like the skin of an orange. we all it orange peel skin. >> really? >> do you see any retraction of the skin, meaning it's being pull and those are all signs that you would want to get to your provider and talk to your provider about. a lot of times it's not breast cancer. but we just want to be on the safe side because early detection is the key. we have successful outcomes with early detection. >> okay. very good. you have a breast care program at southwest medical. >> yes. >> tell us all about it. >> so when a primary care
9:43 am
offer diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound in our breast care program. then we have a team of advanced practice registered nurses. r.n. navigator, physicians and radiologists who are there to give us that diagnosis when the patient receives that diagnosis of breast cancer, we're there to offer one on one consultation, help the woman deal with the emotional and the physical crisis and then get her through the syste for treatment, whether that be surgery, whether that be chemotherapy. with close one on one team approach follow-ups. >> i'm sure it does take a whole team. i think that no woman obviously wants to hear that diagnosis. it's very intimidating. so you're saying it takes a whole team of people. >> it does. >> to help a woman through this situation. >> it does. >> and you have seen an increase in mammograms in your program in the last few years. >> we have.
9:44 am
>> in 2015 we did 39,000 mammograms and this year we've done 42,000 thus far. so we're getting out there with our message. >> yes. >> we are definitely -- we're out in the community, we're at healthcare events. this weekend we'll be at the age well expo at cashman center on saturday. you'll be able to come in and schedule a mammogram with us at one of our healthcare centers at the age well expo. i think it's just getting the message out and women and the public and saying do this for yourself. >> absolutely. early detection is the key thing. thank you for joining us. >> thank you. >> join southwest medical this saturday at age well active 50 plus expo. it goes from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at cashman center and it is free to attend. to learn more about southwest medical and their breast care program, visit the web site on your screen. they're also on facebook and twitter. shawn, over to you.
