center... breaking right now...a man is under arrest facing charges in the death of an 18-month-old baby girl. metro police arrested 21 year old demond billingsley. they say he was babysitting the child. police were called to an apartment in the 800 block of sierra vista drive just after three yesterday because the girl was unresponsive. the child was rushed to the hospital where she died. police say she had severe burnsand brusing--and police determined billingsley caused the injuries. he faces one count of murder by child abuse. breaking news center. tag: governor sandoval says he will sign off on the bill next week in las vegas. reporting in carson city, bryan callahan, 13 action news. a fast-growing wildfire delayed the start of that special session earlier today. it started around 2am but quickly spread.. covering about 2-square miles in washoe valley.. just south of reno. the fire has now destroyed several homes and forced evacuations and road closures in the area. authorities have also declared a state of emergency in washoe county. here in southern nevada.. concern is growing over charleston. a viewer sent us this video of the blaze.. which fire crews say has now spread to 3 acres near mary jane falls. 13 action news anchor christopher king is live near that fire with the latest on what's happening. chris. at approximately 1357 hrs on october 14, 2016, the mount charleston fire protection district (mcfpd) and the united states forest service (usfs) responded to a reported fire in
